    I went across with my mum when I was young, they said it would be a smooth crossing, not sure about being smooth, it has the feeling of being on a boat and a plane at the same time, but still many people were sea sick, but the seats were comfortable

    Fabulous video but you could hardly describe hovercraft travel as smooth. My mate used to work on these craft and would tell us how uncomfortable they were and how often people would vomit 😅

    I travelled with a smaller version of this in 1990s from Hong Kong to Macao. It was fast at that time. Of course, something are faster now.

    That thing was fast, the record was 22 minutes in cross the Chanel (September 1995).

    Shame this one has been dismantled in 2018 . The other one the princess anne is still in one piece although has not been moved since 2000
