288 km/h GPS, but still amazing for 385hp. And I guess, 6th gear and it takes it easier.
the base model 911 with also 385 claimed reached 312kmh monsters coming from Zuffenhausen
My RCZ-R with 300hp goes 265 , incredible for a 1.6 lt , i love it sooo much but man , i wish to switch in 2 years max to a 718 cayman S , a nice remap to 400hp and i will be sooooooo happy 😍

Any 2.0T I4 can make 180km/h under 3kRPM. That's more of a matter of Transmission than Engine.

Actually, they are not. The thing that makes Porsches extremely competent is that they are a unstable car, with a heavy rear end and a light front end. It gives them a Pendulum-like behavior. That's why they are quite dangerous to drive on the limit. And that's why experienced drivers like it so much.

Maybe changing into 6th instead of keeping it at redline in 5th would have allowed the car to go even faster.
Of course the Carrera T would have been faster in a higher gear! The Carrera T has a 7 speed manual, which is fully usable.
This 7 gear manual transmission certainly doesn't have a shitty lame comfort gear characteristics in its second last gear! The car definitely would have been faster.
Why this clown didn't shift into the 6. gear at 7250 rpm at 303 kmh will stay his personal mystery.

This 5th to 4th by 240 was near a "money shift" :-) but nice driving.
This is just beyond the reality of owning and using this car to it's potential in Little Blighty. It's a dream. 20, 30, 50, etc. camera zones , how would one practically use this car? Nothing against it, wizard bit of kit.
I doubt that 'actual' power predictions in some other comments of 420+ hp are close to realistic.. the previous 991.2 T with a claimed 365hp power output was in actual fact only 375-380hp on the dyno at best. Probably a max output of 400hp for the 992 T. I had a previous Carrera T for three weeks while my C2S with 420hp was in for a warranty repair and it was noticeably slower at the top end, but more responsive due to lower boost and the slightly smaller turbos. The actual speed recorded on the Draggy was 288km/h which would be about right. (ps. my 991.2 C2S put out 435hp stock on the dyno)

I feel like this is the model you want for your every day driver versus a GT3 it’s just more suitable for the road way better price point so you don’t mind putting miles on it and driving it all the time

Corvette did it with the C7 but not anymore with the C8. I think there is only Porsche now
Agreed but even Porsche designs 6th and 7th as overdrive gears for fuel economy. 5th gear is the near 1:1 ratio for top speed (also shown in the video).
They were in the Corvette and the Aston Martin Vantage too, but that's it.

Yes, but the top speed is in 5th, the engine doesn't have enough power to go any faster

No because from 5th above you are in overdrive and given the fact that peak power is made in higest revs you would loose revs and thus power and top speed requires power not torque. So, shifting to 6th would drop the speed immediately to probably 290 and stay there.
