  • Katie and I want to thank Addmotor for sending us the Grandtan M-340 eTrike. We thought it would be a good addition to our electric vehicles for the homestead. After using it for 2 months, we would like to share our honest review. Initially, it took us a while to get accustomed to riding the eTrike due to the uneven terrain on our property which is full of roots, bumps, and dips.It took some time to get comfortable riding it around. After some time, we became comfortable with it and now find ourselves using it frequently when we need to quickly move from one place to another on the homestead.
    If you're interested in electric bikes and trikes, we highly recommend checking out Addmotor

    It was nice to look back and see happy Floyd, I’m sure I’m not the only one that misses him in CZcams land. That bike looks very interesting and for a short little trek into the woods where you know the surfaces are rideable I can see that bicycle, sorry tricycle, being very handy.

      We for sure miss that boy. As for the trike, we have ridden it all over the homestead and it manages pretty well. Back and forth between the barns or transporting supplies are quick and quiet with it.

    Love the honest review of the E-Trike. It was bittersweet seeing Floyd running and playing. Take care, stay healthy and hope to see you again soon. Also, thanks for the shout-out you did for The Modern Yoeman. I am watching all their older videos and am enjoying them and their Yoestead progress. I am up to the point where you left your chickens with them so you could travel to Oregon. Glad you decided to stay in Tennesse.

    Hi Nate and Katie, thank you so much for your honest review of our Grantan M-340, it's great! It does need a few times of practice when you're a beginner to an electric tricycle, but once you get used to it, you'll have fun on it. Love your furry kids❀

    My grandfather had a trike, completely manual, and I have ridden several through the years and the tipping factor seems to be something all of them have. You just have to learn to make wide turns. Love that you have one to tour the homestead! Have fun and stay safe!

    That looks like fun but I would be afraid of the tipping factor for fear of not having enough strength to get it upright if you were actually tipping. Is it heavy? It looked like it was more manageable on the driveway, although Nate said it did well driving it around the property for chores. It's that learning curve I guess. Thanks for sharing this, y'all have a good time using it. It will definitely help carrying stuff around. Now you each have something to ride. Have a Blessed day.

    • @TheKraemerLife
      @TheKraemerLife  Pƙed rokem +1

      It is heavy. I am a bit more cautious and have not tipped it, I think Nate has but always when turning and going too slow. There is a major learning curve but after just a few times on it we both were quite comfortable with it. It has helped with the chores, grabbing mail/packages, and moving feed for sure.

  • @davideck2437
    @davideck2437 Pƙed rokem

    I say trade it for a used electric golf cart. You’ll get so much more use out of it and hauling capacity and less of a worry of tipping over. There’s a reason they outlawed motorized three wheelers in the US. We bought a used easy go electric golf cart for $400 and they used batteries lasted us over three years. we had a fold down cargo bed on the back and could even pull a trailer

      It would not have been a purchase we made before a tractor but it has been surprisingly useful just getting around. We run down to get mail with it, fill up food storage in the fields with it, and also use it to get to areas quickly. It is not a traditional vehicle for a homestead, we know that but it has come in quite handy.

    Why will you get something like this for a homestead?
    We have inflation and this bike cost $3000 plus tax and shipping. You are kidding, right!

      We initially said yes because we thought it would be a good way to have a little fun and release stress after working all day. Not everything has to be about practicality, this has actually been quite a useful tool for us.
