    Well what a refreshing change to see a blog line this !! ...you earned your fish and the nene isn’t a trendy river that every one flocks to as sheep . For me I’d rather a blog like this as it shows angling as it is in my opinion .
    I wish you all the best for future adventures old chap ... kind regards

    nice video mate, it looks a lovely intimate stretch of river, you have to earn them on those kind of stretches and you did just that👍🎣

      Mark Carp thanks. It’s an incredible bit of water and those barbel certainly are making me work for it at the moment!

    Very good video Chris and info.
    Your correct about the nursery it rarely produces the big ones but its a banker swim if you've come a long way or desperate. (it's other name is noddy corner 😉).
    Much better to explore and pit your wit's in other less pressured swims for the biggies.
    Section record is 17lb at the end of the season but it's done a 14-12 this week and a 13-10 so stick at it that double will come sooner than you think.

    What strength line do u use?

    • @OnTheBankAngling
      @OnTheBankAngling  Před 4 lety

      Hi Oliver. I wouldn’t go lighter than 10lb on a tight snaggy stretch like that. You will land them on lighter but you are risking losing them. I never fish too close to the trees anyway as it is best to leave the barbel a safe area to back off to should they get spooked. :)

      Oliver Lowe gutting. You must be doing something right to get the bites tho! So keep trying. I hear it is very busy down there this year.
