I agree 100% with Hadley. I have followed Thomas Reid for decades and common sense realism is the lens through which human beings actually live. In pointing out the flaw in "originalism", is there any way to correct the court? In this insipid society you will have people argue against natural law based on their subjective opinion and more likely their personal feelings. Unlike the founding, where western understanding of morality was paramount, we now live in a time where every common sense understanding of ethics and morality are polluted by post modern materialism and existential narcissism. You actually need a moral people for this system to work. Today it seems we live in a psychotic society that would not allow societal law based on natural law.
Is it any wonder that Pilate asked, “What IS Truth?” When TRUTH was standing right in front of him??

They go out to them and hold back from them what they are when they are all alone by themselves stuck unimprisoned in their mind. I want to understand why I should do a thing and not just do it totally in faith. And I'm a lazy man, so forgiveness is pragmatic (and I'm a dumb man so I'm not sure if that's the right word to use right there but I'm sure you'll understand what I mean) for me, for it saves me from all the hard work of figuring out how to prove them wrong and of saying something that shows them they're wrong and of plotting and getting revenge. Tomorrow is known to you. So it's no fun, exciting surprise. It's under your control and all planned out. It's just going to be you robotically going through the motions, sticking to the task regimentally, rigidly and ritually, having already seen it all before, just the same old same ol', a big bore, your goal.
I go through a ritual for 5 minutes on sunday and then live in the moment for the rest of the week.
