team cowplant were able to continue because they won the first challenge, so it gave them an edge in the elimination round. I think team gnome was the best team there but this just goes to show how one little slip can snowball into a big failure.

As much as i love Steph, I think team cowplant should've been eliminated. Their elimination video was weird and confusing and even though they explained I had no idea what's going on.
@peach Kelsey, and I agree with her. Honestly I had no idea either and if I wouldn't have watched them plan I'd have even less of an idea.
how the sims spark'd could've been better in 3 steps:
1. stop being such an american tv show, as every other comment will tell you. We want support we want friendships we don't want drama
2. Fully showcase the talent instead of the drama - maybe break it into sections, 2 hours for CAS, 2 hours for Build, 2 hours for Story
3. Get CZcamsrs and Streamers who know the game to host and judge (no hate to Rayvon)
If you really wanted this to be about the sims there wouldn't be any time limit butttt whatever I'm vaguely enjoying it despite not
Or a challenge a day where they get half a day to create and half a day to edit and voice act, then show the judges a short film? The time restrictions didn't show off how good they are that they can make amazing things in only (insert time), it just hampered talented people and the audience from seeing what could be done with The Sims game in the right hands.
Also, why bother with the first round if it doesn't go towards the final decision, the supposed "advantage" they are given isn't worth it. Why didn't they let the winning team pick all three packs they wanted or as with the first episode choose what packs the other teams had to use, getting to start a round-robin first isn't much help to anyone.

I literally hate how everyone uses the term "American" There are literally shows like this is other countries not just in America. I literally hate how everything now is "American" and somehow everything "American" = bad. Believe it or not everything here is bad. So many stereotypes about America and its literally sickening.

We know not everything in America is bad, however it's fun to make fun of because we have only been exposed to nationalist bogan America. This competition seems rushed and the rules are all over the place and don't have any consistency. It is supposed to be a mixture of style/storyline/build and then everything is simply judged on the storyline alone.

The use of seasons pack to create a raining scene is just the same as team gnome using spaceship to represent strangerville, but they only nitpicked team gnome for that. I loved her story and their build in the first challenge. I felt like a proud parent watching this lmao
Rather than eliminating what was clearly the BEST team to cause tension and drama and to even the odds, they could reconfigure the teams, slightly. Not put the same people on the same team every time. Not do team challenges EVERY TIME in a SINGLE PLAYER game. Team Llama did really well, though. Good on XMiramira for carrying the team with a relatable, natural concept of aging with a supernatural twist that the other members of her team were worried could be "too risque."
I like the series but it has some logistical problems, I mean if team gnome has literally won every single challenge WHY do they have to leave. And we never get a criteria when the judges evaluate the teams. The elimination round should add up the 2 rounds of the episode
Its funny that the only phrase that has some drama is "i have to destroy them, is the only option" and they keep repeating whenever they can

Well excepr strangerville had nothing to do with those aliens or Bella goth. It was about an alien flower that put everyone under mind control. You may be thinking of strangeview from the Sims 3 and 2.
As a northerner myself, Jesse’s story was way more real than the others - like a love letter to a real culture that can still be felt today. Also why the hell did you give her SUBTITLES? She doesn’t have a thick accent, she’s just not posh or American.

They shouldn`t of gone, they made a story the judges felt part of and added lore. yes the aliens should of been a bigger part of it but it all made seance in the video they produced. i love what team llama did for this one and yes they should of won that challenge but the other two teams have been more consistant throughout. Gnome and Cowplant should of been the final.

A few important points..
Firstly: Subtitles for Jesse, the hell?
Secondly: Gnome being eliminated despite being top in both of last weeks challenges and still putting together a more cohesive story this week than Cowplant's team did, not that it was terrible but it still did fall marginally behind Gnome's team.
Lastly: The judges evaluation of Cowplant's presentation did not warrant Gnome being sent home considering their critiques were harsher.
I do not know what happened here but either way, I still love all of the contestants that have been on the show and NO shade at all to the Cowplant team as they still did pretty good.

Ninjas critiques of Gnome felt like he was just pissed he was a character. He says that including them was a cop out from a storytelling perspective and compared it to a pantomime
Plumbella gave more justice to Bella Goth than the whole entire sims team ever has and they did her dirty like that. They do be salty
In a way strangerville was incorporated cus lets not lie the mother should have been Bella Goth since the start...

Here's my critique of the show:
This can't be just a regular reality show. Your audience is a bunch of simmers who like watching these people's Let's Plays. So your audience doesn't want to see their favorite simmers be in rivalries or short on time. They want to see them prosper. They want interesting and fun stories. I want xmiramira to not be so stressed out. The editors seem to be trying hard to capture an energy that no one wants.

I honestly feel that Team Gnome's story is a lot better than Team Cowplant's. Not only was it funnier, but they presented the story a lot more clearer, while Team Cowplant's was confusing, and I wouldn't have known what it was actually about if I only watched the presentation.
But congratulations to Team Llama!! They finally embraced each others' differences and is able to work together and made the best story that I've seen in this game show. The plot was compelling and I was deeply engrossed throughout the entire story. ♥

@@darthdumbledore2459 I thought even one of the judge got confused as well didn't really know what the story was actually about. I think that it is similar to Team Gnome, there's a lot of stuff that wasn't covered, and it lacks a lot of narration. For me, I feel that Gnome should've won because they presented a story a lot clearly and they also made their own sound effects and it does not lack narration, though the story is kind of weak and a little bit confusing as well like I just mentioned.
Yes it isn't a comedy competition, but it makes a the story a lot more entertaining to watch, thus earning my vote.
Edit: but of course, at the end it's all up to our own preferences and what stands out to us !!

At first, I was rooting for Team Llama to be eliminated because they really couldn't collaborate well, but they pulled the uno reverse card and became the best team with the best storyline, and I'm honestly really proud of them !! ♥♥ It says a lot because I don't know any of the simmers in Team Llama

I was tearing up at Jesse's father story, I swear to God, she's the sweetest person ever. I mean, taking such a huge and personal social problem in a show that has nothing to do with that is huge, thanks to the entire team for doing that of course. They're taking one of the most wholesome communities in the world and finding drama that isn't there to create suspense that no one wants... I'm interested in the challenges and how specific simmers execute their own ideas, not the fake rivalry between DrGluon and MiraMira..

Yes, that fake beef is annoying. I have seen how XMiraMira and DrGluon communicate with each other on Twitter they both insist they respect each other very much. The show was just edited in a way that shows the opposite.

My heart ached when Jesse's mining story didn't win. I have a lot of feelings about these episodes lol. I think I DEFINITELY agreed with the decision on the vampire actress winning, but Jesse's mining story... My heart ached.

The idea for this was great, but boy do they not know their audience with the whole American editing style. On the off chance an editor reads this, think Great British Bake Off not any American reality show. I'm from England and have been in many a rundown British pub and that build in the first challenge is SPOT ON!! Also love they did the mine! Plumbella directed the team to execute her story so well. I don't really know Simproved but her build skills are insane.

Their first story was the strongest in my opinion. Each stage of the sims life made sense and the sets were amazing.
Is the only reason Kelsey a judge because she works at buzzfeed? It just feels a little unnatural to watch her judge people who have a larger following than her 🤷🏻♀️

I really don’t think the following matters because some simmers have a larger following then gurus. I Feel like the problem is that she’s not that experienced with the sims franchise and the singer girl confused about her.
I"m actually shocked that Team Gnome went home-- I was actually rooting for them! But so glad Team Llama had a redemption arc and so far their story is my favorite in the last 2 episodes! Team Cowplant I like the premise in their story too and so happy they're still gonna be in the next episode!^_^

This episode was definitely better than the first and it didn't feel as rushed.
HOWEVER, I continue to disagree with the decision the judges made at the end. They made it seem like Cowplant's presentation was confusing and they didn't understand the story or anything and then they go and say NO IT WAS GOOD, WAS JUST MISSING A BIT, BYE GNOMES.
Idk. I'm also bitter because I love Plumbella.
I think it was a fix the one from the north east England goes home masterchef has better quality than this show .
Not to mention the skills challenge, it could have been just me, but I actually feel like team Cowplant was delivering just a normal sim anyone can create and play with. I mean, it's relatable, sure, but the judges themselves asked for something they had never seen, so I think any of the other teams should have won it instead.
But yeah, the elimination challenge... Ooof.
SAME HERE. I actually watched this show because Plumbella was in it. I don't think they deserved to leave. Also on the first round, team cowplant won and I really don't get it. Yes, they had a nice story but wasn't that original as the other ones and for me, it matters more a nice and twisted story than something that "would look good on tv and we better support that", if you know what I mean.

There was pretty much nothing between Team Gnome and Team Cowplant, they were both on the same level, but they eliminated Team Gnome for the shock factor, considering they had won both challenges in the first episode.
I think because cowplant was first in the first challenge
team cowplant’s storyline was *unclear.* team gnome’s use of the packs wasn’t seen a lot. the storyline should bring everything together, but team gnome was still eliminated so that the audience wouldn’t think certain teams were being favourited.
First win does not matter like that

Team Llama!! I really wish the editing would depict them as the team they truly are instead of trying to create drama where there is none. Editing should showcase the comradery of the community that has always existed since day one in 2000. Here we are in 2020 with everything going on in the world, we need to show the love y'all, not highlight "fake tv drama". Everyone on Team Llama is so beyond that!

They also should’ve switched up the roles. Like have everyone draw new teammates and a new role every episode. It’s too repetitive when they’re stuck with the same people. It also gives people a chance to shine if they originally got stuck with teammates they didn’t mesh well with, or a role they weren’t that good at.
It’s weird when Steph is being serious because all I can imagine is the chaoticness of her videos and just her. Also I just hear her intro as well so it is weird seeing here not being like that lol

Yeah, I definitely feel like the way their doing the elimination part is very wrong. They shouldn’t send a team home based only on the flaws of the latest challenge (because that’s what if feels like they’re doing). It should be based on how good or bad they’ve been over all. Letting the team that was doing the worst stay only because they happened to do one challenge best is not how a game show should work.....

so the running joke when the first trailer dropped was that this is where EA is wasting the budget instead of making meaningful packs and.... sis if the budget for the packs is as low as this half baked show's is, then it's no wonder we haven't gotten a pack for the game that isn't completely shallow. Honestly Gnome didn't deserve to leave, it was Cowplant. Cause their video was so confusing. Atleast team Gnome had their story correct
They didn't really incorporate the challenge though. They really skimped on making the packs (other than get to work) important in the story, and their character from the first challenge really had no business being there. Although cowplant's story was lacking, I don't think there are as many issues as there were with gnome's.
So you kept the team whose storyline you couldn't understand and sent home the one that was consistently well thought out? Makes sense. *eyeroll* No shade to Cowplant but the judges in the video we was show, didn't look invested and confused, whereas they engaged with Gnome. I swear this show is a dumpster fire!

I feel like they shouldn’t be eliminating teams like this and just eliminating individual simmers from each team because it doesn’t really seem fair for either of the other two teams (team gnome or team cowplant) to have been eliminated cause they were doing really well in the previous challenges. The only person that really deserved to be eliminated was drgluon.

Sadly they expect a lot from these challenges. Stuff that these CZcamsr spend days planning. Not 2 or even 6 hours. Just really unrealistic. Also they picked the wrong elimination team.
Ok I gotta say it: Dr.Gluon or whatever is completely rude throughout this whole thing and honestly his teamates have to keep it together not to shout like stfu at him or something. He doesn't like anyone else's ideas and when someone comes up with an idea that lets them win, he despises it and says "Something I wouldn't have gone with." Yeah ok how did your episode 1 ideas go?
"... but we have been at the bottom of everything, we havnt won anything, so we gotta do something a little craz." Thought id finish your out of context quote there. Dr.Gluon never despised. He never said he didnt like it. The show used camera angles and sound effects to make it seem like he hated it to add to the "fake drama" of this show. He acknowledges that his ideas weren't working well, so he literally sat back and let her take charge. "If we get sent home for what we have, then you know what, i don't know what else to do." Another quote where he actually admits that the idea is good and doesnt think they should get sent home for it.

I really wanted this to be more friendly like Great British Baking and this is just... kinda crappy. The sims community it all about friendship and collaboration. Why make this show and force them to go against each other, instead of supporting one another to make something amazing.

I honestly think team cowplant should've implemented more voice acting and narration so the story could've been more understandable
i disagree with their decision, i loved team llama's presentation and their storyline and the finished product was amazing, but team gnome in my opinion should have got through. Their story was funny and i liked the aliens they added in, and it was fun. Team cowplant's storyline was really good, with the party turning eachother into mermaids and bringing the evil side of it i liked that but the way they presented it was so confusing and i didnt really understand what was going on, in my opinion all were good but team cowplant should have gone home.

babybathduck as an outsider looking in, she seemed to represent NE England in a very sympathetic light, it felt like it’s a community that really cares for each other and is super resilient in what seems like a really hard time. Didn’t really pay a lot of attention to the Thatcher comment until reading this comment.

Team gnome actually had more of a clear story than team cowplant. I couldn’t even tell you what team cowplants story was even after they literally said it.

Team llama had an advantage because their first story already had a supernatural element to it so it was easy to carry on. I know that was just luck that the next challenge was supernatural but still.
Cowplant didn’t have an original idea with this one doing the “gossip girl” type narration was good once but now it’s old.
And they obviously fell flat.
Team gnome had been so creative with story and builds this entire time. And with jessie including the heartwarming story about her dad was so sweet. If anyone deserves the money it’s her and her team.
Llama didn't need their spellcaster character in their story, it was a bit easier to fit in but it really was just a plus. To me it was a bit inconsistent with her original story in a way, though they seem to be the only team to actually follow the last challenges rules. Cowplant's first character fit into their story perfectly, which I thought sounder great and fun, but they just couldn't execute it well. Gnome had a good run but their first character was really quite boring (I prefered the spellcaster better than the miner for sure, but that mine build was amazing) and their story kinda fell flat too. Using the judges was distasteful to me and they just didn't include the miner character properly, he was just there. I enjoyed adding Bella's Sims 2 backstory, they could have done sooooo much with that.
Just because they won more rounds previously, it doesn't give them a pass to go to finals.

Also I'm so done with this "team gnome didn't include the miner boy very well to their story" because fr i don't even notice the guy from team cowplant story. The miner boy play a big part of the plot but the gay guy was just there. What did he even contribute to the storyline?
@@milkeyway7105 I'm just saying that's STILL one of the reasons they did poorly on the challenge. I feel like including the judges was unnecessary and pretty risky. Looking back I think that the reason Llama did so much better on this challenge is because the rules didn't need a ton of sims in the story and using only one makes is easier to control and direct properly. I think Gnome did better than Cowplant, tbf, I wish they put more depth into their story and actually used Stangerville since it would have soooo much potential.
Team Llama deserved that win. Fun story. Team Gnome should not have gone home. Cowplant had a boring story from the beginning straight up pulling from overdone tropes and even taking lines from movies like Mean Girls. Not judging on the individuals but as a team I wasn't impressed at all.

LE I agree but the sims community is in no way hostile and the way they are creating unwarranted drama and rivalries is frankly shining such a negative light on the Sims. This is a game for expression and to have a bit of fun, they’re trying to turn this show into a reality type thing. Jesse did the right thing and she was such a team player, for everyone involved. They’re really pushing this mira and Gluon thing which makes me not want to watch anymore episodes. I’m 99% sure more of the sims community would be interested if this show was focussed around creativity and expression... they’ve gone about it all wrong!
LE yes I 100% agree with you, they are giving the Sims a bad name and this type of reality show is so unnecessary. It’s almost as if they are abandoning the entire ethos that the Sims is based on... creativity and passion. It’s very disheartening to see this happening.

Obviously the wrong decision. Team Gnome had the best stories for both challenges by far! The judges just didn't pick them because they had been on a winning streak. These judges have no idea what they're talking about.

Sim gurus, I know you won’t see this, but on the off chance that you do: this show is TERRIBLY executed. Like, who is the audience for this? Certainly not players, since the show doesn’t focus on the builds, CAS, or gameplay in any meaningful way. Certainly not fans of the streamers and YTers featured since it pitted them against each other and we know that the edits manufactured unnecessary drama. Certainly not potential customers since, again, The Sims is not a team game and the show doesn’t focus on the possibilities of gameplay. What is the point other than to divide the community thereby alienating your loyal fans, and confuse potential new customers thereby discouraging them from buying the game? I truly don’t get it.
Edit: wouldn’t it have been better to cast streamers and YTers as the *judges* and possibly the host (since as much as I like Rayvon as a singer he clearly doesn’t know ANYTHING about The Sims or the community) and then find regular-degular folx to compete INDIVIDUALLY?
I think kids that watch BuzzFeed videos are the target demographic.

@@ladyabercrombie I don't know about the inner workings of EA but I'm assuming this was made with a younger audience in mind because of the style of the show. More generally speaking, kids are a good demographic to invest in. They are impressionable and have their parents' wallets at their disposal. I feel like the Sims is moving in this direction with its content and DLC model and I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing, but I personally don't like it. The game is losing its soul in the process.

@@nigdyezemska2827 Agreed. Older simmers, first of all, know Bella Goth has MAJOR ties to alien abductions and Strangerville. You can tell by who wins. If a child doesn't have vampires, they'll want it after this episode. Gnome did better than Cowplant as far as both challenges went but Cowplant showed a more attractive version of the Sims (with a little more gameplay) so they "won."

Yesss like cowplant and gnome were my 2 favorites and the fact that they chose team cowplant over gnome when cowplant had the storyline that was confusing and barely made sense while Gnome was just missing a little bit of usage of a pack in the story line. And Gnome had won alot so far so it was sad to see 2 of my favorite youtubers be eliminated.
