    On our farm Dad, Grandpa and I use to rib each other all the time, it made the hard work and the struggle bus days go by so fast....Grandpa and Dad are gone now and I sure miss those days. I really wish we would of had internet and fancy camera phones then to capture those days. You are a lucky kid and I truly enjoy your videos about you, your Dad and the farm. Keep up the good work.

    The Kinze planter we had several years ago did't have a break away either. However, it was built out of standard sizes of tube steel so it could be rebuilt rather easily and economically.

    I was certain you would have had a back-up PTO generator.
    Sometimes the power goes out when you do remember to pay the bill.
    I've experienced a 10 day outage before due to winter.

    When you say "Don't forget to subscribe and like"....People hear forget...so they forget. If you reference it in a positive way and say "Remember to click the subscribe button"....they remember. So, remembering that I LIKE the video is good. That comes from training in Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP. Remember to have a great day. I like farm videos because my Grandfathers were all farmers in Alabama (Sweet Potatoes) and Tennessee (Hogs, Chickens and Hay).

    Db 60 planter now have break aways. We have them on ours from the factory. On then for the last 4 years. Still have not broken the bolt on one yet though.

    Hey Chet there’s a Hutterite colony in Manitoba that builds those spoked packer wheels. We outfitted our db66 and an 1895 disc drill with them. Very similar to Mn conditions and we like them! With the way the Canadian dollar is you could get them cheap!

    I love the Mudsmith wheels. I put them on my whole planter. I only have sixteen rows though so the number was a lot easier to stomach.

    Case IH 2150 has a break away on there marker. Trade it in for a red one. lol

      We have a 1255 and even the local case dealer told us not to get a 2150 because they have alot of trouble

    It's not really that hard to make a break away for it Kenzie planter are the same and at second hing point where the smaller square tubing starts cut it off there and weld 2 flat plates of steel with a hing point and a bolt that's what we did and it works great keeps u from buying marks yearly

    What do you have for a phone booster? We have one from Verizon that has 2 boxes, one sets in the window towards the direction of a tower while the other sets in the hall by our offices. And we have another one that has an antenna on the roof going to a booster on the ceiling in the shop. We still have to go outside most of the time to use the phone!

      The gauge wheels came from South Dakota there ground is a lot different. A lot lighter than ours I’m not against no till it just does not work in most of the ground that we farm. And to have two different styles of farm equipment it’s just impractical.

    Hey Chet not trying to be a dink but it is a good idea to pull your seed discs. Inside the meter cover there is a little rubber flap the closes against the seed disc to give an air tight suction. Leaving these in all winter keeps the rubber seal compressed and wears them out a lot faster creating vacuum issues and in turn spacing issues.

    As a non farmer please explain. I’m assuming with that nice equipment you use GPS guidance to plant, so why do you need markers? I thought markers were to line up your next row but didn’t think you used markers when you have GPS. Thanks
