Tea Party - Make Ahead Appetizers and Desserts

TeaBloom Flower Tea • Tea Party - Make Ahead...
PUFF PASTRY MUSHROOM CUPS
►1 onion
►1 lbs. of mushrooms
►1 tsp of salt
►1/2 tsp of black pepper
►2 tbsps. of lemon juice
►2-3 tbsps. of fresh thyme
►2 sheets of puff pastry
►2 cups of your favorite cheese (I used mozzarella, but gruyere or Swiss cheese will work as well)
Make Ahead Tip - You can make the mushroom mixture up to 3 days ahead. Just cover it and place it in the fridge until you’re ready to use it. Once these Mushrooms Cup are assembled you can cover them with aluminum foil a day ahead, refrigerate and bake at 375F for 25-30 minutes right before serving. Or you can even bake them a day ahead and warm them up right before serving.

TEA SANDWICHES (if you’re making 4 sandwiches you will need)
►8 slices of white bread (Square shape)
►1 can of tuna (drain the water)
►1-2 tbsps. of mayonnaise
►A few slices of cucumber
►4 toothpicks
Make Ahead Tip - prepare your fillings in advance, then assemble just before serving to avoid soggy sandwiches.

PIGS IN THE BLANKET
►1 Sheet of puff pastry
►Roughly 20 mini hot dogs (you can certainly use regular hot dogs, just slice them in smaller bites)
Make Ahead Tip - prepare and bake them a day in advance and put them in the fridge.
EATABLE DAISY FLOWERS - BOILED EGGS
►3 boiled eggs
►Plastic Wrap
►5 skewers
►2 rubber band
Make Ahead Tip - boil the eggs, wrap them them in the fridge overnight.

FRUIT WATER
►Ice cube tray
►¼ cup of raspberries
►¼ cup of strawberries!
►1-2 cups of water
Other options - Mint, lemons, cucumber
Make Ahead Tip - assemble everything and freeze overnight

CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRIES
►2 cups of white tasty chocolate
►Roughly 10 strawberries
►10 toothpicks
►A piece of Styrofoam or parchment paper
►Food coloring (your choice)
►Sanding sugar and sprinkles for décor.
Make Ahead Tip - make them one day ahead and place in the fridge, serve the day of your party.

TEA PARTY SUGAR COOKIES
Cookies Recipe (Save this recipe, it’s perfect for any theme or holiday :)
►16oz of softened unsalted butter
►1 cup of sugar
►Splash of vanilla extract
►1 egg
►3 cups of flour
►1 tsp of baking powder
►1 pinch of salt
Make Ahead Tip for the Dough- Wrap the dough in plastic and Place in the fridge for 30 minutes. You can keep the dough for a few days until you’re ready to use it. And here is a great make ahead tip. Wrap your dough tightly in plastic wrap and store it in a freezer bag. You can keep it in the freezer for up to 2 months before you need to use it. When you are ready to bake, allow the dough to thaw in the fridge overnight.
Make Ahead Tip for the Cookies - bake and decorate your cookies 1-2 days in advance and keep them at room temperature in a cool/dry place.

ESKIMO CAKE

►1 ½ cups of mascarpone cheese
►1 cup of heavy whipping cream
►1 cup of powdered sugar
►1 lbs. of cherries or strawberries (frozen or fresh will work)

My mother in laws best friend (basically sister) threw a tea party just for fun for her granddaughters and my daughters, MIL and me. It was SO much fun! We decided to do it once a month every other being kid free! It’s literally been the best time!

Yay for tea parties! This makes me want to have one! My parents had lots of formal tea parties. The nuns were always invited and we had petit fors.

My daughters and I have informal tea parties on a semi regular basis, but my 8 year old wants to have a beautiful tea party for her birthday this year. Your video made it seem doable and I’m so excited about decorating now!

My girls and I would have a Tea Party once a week, we also had a ministry where we would do Tea Parties for underprivileged children. We used real China, tea cups and linens. We also had princess dresses for them to wear. We would have an average of 30 girls each month🩷👑. My girls have lovely memories and learned so much through Tea Parties🩷👑☕️🫖

You can do it! It’s easier than you may think. Once you start it you’ll be amazed. This was my first time putting it together. Just get some flowers 🌸 a nice tablecloth, and some china dishes. Dying the chocolate is not always that easy, my food colouring was water based and messed up the chocolate altogether
Hmm sorry you had that trouble. They sell now colored chocolate, maybe try that next time. I used only 1-2 drops. I’ll share the link of the food coloring I’m using
