Today we have this Hyundai Elantra that's been in a side collision involving damage to the rear bumper cover, the quarter panel, the outer wheel house, and the rear door. I'm going to going to be replacing the quarter panel and repairing the rest of the vehicle. Follow along and see my auto body repair process following OEM procedures.

Learning metal work now. Just finished putting a quarter skin in a 72 lemans. How do you keep the metal from warming when you’re welding so close together? I get the footage is sped up but it seems like even when I jump around to spots 1.5ft apart it still gets way too hot.
Have you tried just doing 1 tack at a time? It seems you are doing everything correctly.

Thanks! I don't remember the exact hours, but a typical quarter panel replacement pays about 16 hours on average. The full job start to finish, probably paid about 30.

I’ve never seen such a small spot welder! Ours is like a bazooka, too heavy
It's the pro spot phs-101. It's battery-operated, and only the really big arm attachment is quite heavy

Yes! It's quite labor intensive. Total working hours is close to 25 hours
@@AUTOBODYTECH probably why most cars that need a quarter are total loss.
