Yakuza 0 - Long Battles: 9 - Majima's Vengeance (LEGEND)
Vložit
- čas přidán 24. 01. 2017
- Majima decides that he has to single-handedly end the Dojima Family in order to give Makimura Makoto a break from being constantly chased and haunted their greedy, violent fangs. At first, he refused to take revenge for her fallen brother because it wasn't like her to ask such a thing, but after witnessing her possible demise, he said he would do anything, even revenge, if it meant saving her.

This whole series has got me thinking. Kiryu's greatest, most persistent enemy in the entire franchise has been his own damn clan that he's a leader of.
What about the Amon Clan?
With Amon family it's just business @@accountwontlastlong1
I think of Majima as Kiryu's frival, which is the words friend and rival combined. Majima is just mainly a weirdo.
Did mean guy beat? Or been? I don’t get it
And Majima saw all of it unfold without doing much lol. He still is a part of the clan that had made him lose an eye, as well as the girl he loved. But hey. At least he has it better than Kiryu somewhat.

Honestly this is the only place where The Mad Dog of Shimano was ever 'Mad', the rest of the time it's an act. Can't be abused by your higher ups if you're the insane one.

Imagine how terrfiying it would be to be one of these Dojima guys just hearing Majima saying this crazy sounding shit then starts breakdancing and killing everyone in the process

i mean, i'd be petrified if some guy took out a dozen of my coworkers before using one of my friends as a tool to open a door to beat more of us up... I just imagine the fighting and shouting getting louder and louder as this monster breaks through every defense we've set up at our HQ!
so I have never played a yakuza game until yakuza 0 and holy shit. It was really quite a journey seeing Majima transform throughout the game.

You're so lucky to have started the series at Yakuza 0 man...
I fucking loved this section of 0. We said goodbye to the Cabaret Grand "customer is king" Goro Majima and had our first taste of The Mad Dog of Shimano. I didn't play Yakuza at all before 0, hell, I haven't even heard about it until 0 came out. I got to experience this game with a fresh set of eyes; seeing Majima just deteriorate into a crazed fiend was magical. I truly grew to love him in the 3 games I played, especially with the Goro saga in Kiwami 2 - that was the icing on the cake.
I heard of Yakuza through Project X Zone 2

I think it would've been more logical if Majima had learned his Mad Dog fighting style here or on the Sebastian Building instead of getting it through an optional side game
I don’t know, I feel like that’s too easy.
you could literally play the game in easy, unlocking their styles with little to no effort. I’m sure they wanted players to work for the styles instead of just doing the story.

that fight intro is seriously one of the best in the franchise.
0:35 I love the song that plays. It really does have the vibe of “Now you’re in for it!”
This fight was incredible. Majima his anger building up from the beginning of the game only to see him literally flip the switch and receive the mad dog of shimano name.
This is me in Naughty Dog HQ right after TLOU2 unfairly won GOTY
Yakuza LAD should've won
righteous lunacy at its finest.

I like to imagine that from the last fight he had with Dojima’s boys on that rooftop he lost his shit because Makoto got downed so now he’s past the line of sanity

The sheer amount of people in that one room along with the background music is always chilling

I would temper your grief.
I would defend my precious.

6:29 My reaction to seeing that heat action for the first time while playing: "Did he just...DID HE JUST BLOCK WITH A FUCKING BULLET?!?!"
7:34 OH THAT'S GONNA LEAVE A MARK!!
Everybody yakuza until they see the mad dog angry and they hear reign
In the span of a week, Kiryu and Majima both attacked Dojima HQ singlehandedly. I think the Family learned a lesson after the Empty Lot issue: do whatever it takes to keep Kiryu and Majima happy. They couldn't afford to take another attack by either man anymore.
Nishitani would've been proud.
Majima: "Its all gone to shit let's go mad dog styleeeeee!!!!!!"
The VA in this game really is something else man. Tremendous.
I live how you showcased so many different heat actions. This is the way Yakuza should be played.
mhm - so many gameplay sequences online, not just in Yakuza, are the most boring 'no damage, spamming one move that can't be countered' malarkey... this video, however, is fun!
Imagine Trapped in a Mad Dog’s Cage. That would be really terrifying
8:14
Yakuza 0 was my favorite game of the series, partly due to being able to watch Majima's metamorphosis.
Mess with Makoto, and even prime Kiryu won't be enough to beat Majima
I feel like kiryu and majima fought in zero I feel like majima would win by a long shot, mainly because kiryu is just starting in the yakuza, majima has more experience and not to mention, he defeated kashiwag someone kiryu can’t beat most likely
This is definitely majima on sajema/kiryu’s power level, it’s the mad dog persona but feral, rather than the measured majima who turns it on and off
i've unlocked the mad dog style just for this part of the game, and went through the rest of the game just stabbin people
why? because it felt right
Same! As soon as I noticed I was near the end I grinded the business minigames for both Kiryu and Majima just to unlock their secret fighting styles and using them in their final battles.
Rare footage found of Majima becoming the Doom slayer
I love this one!
This is the exact moment Goro Majima became Hank J. Wimbleton

i believe that this would of happened again in yakuza 6 when (spoiler)

That BREAKER STYLE is the best😂
The combat theme in this fight is one of the best in the game hands-down. Yakuza as a series has awesome fight music, but this theme in particular is perfect.
Been through 0 and Kiwami now, and it was frankly shocking to see how much Majima had changed between the games. But I will always remember what a gigachad he was, storming a whole clan for one girl. My respect to you, Mad Dog.
Funny how both him and Kiryu had a meltdown in the same place !
You fucks don't even add to my body count is such an under appreciated line

And this is how the majima we love was born

I had to redo the game after these scene as it felt wrong to have already used the Mad Dog style before this fight 😂😂
Totally worth the replay of the hostess club.
This theme song is epic
Unstoppable rage

The mad dog comes out for the first time. But am I only one that took the ending as, that Majima chose to become the mad dog, and that this sort of reveals its a mask he leans into for the rest of life to deal with the loss he felt when he tried to be normal.
This fucking game is awesome where all started.
Man I gotta say majima you rock man.
This is when Majima truly said “it’s Mad Dog time” before going berserk on the Dojima Family.
Seeing enraged people always make me feel something in my heart
mhm - whenever I feel down, I pop on some scenes from Asura's Wrath... someone using their anger to fight back against oppression and protect those close to them? it inspires something deep within me to get the fuck up!
You know, I do think it would've been fitting for Majima to unlock his Mad Dog style during this fight.

One of the many things that zero manages to get right is the age of the characters, they don't exactly look the same as they do at age 30 or so, but instead resemble them more or less.
