    You can copy mouse coordinates by pressing the mouse wheel.

    Back in high school I would literally sell my souls to Satan for this software... I always dreamed of making a point and click adventure game.

      i can tell you.. the hardest part insnt even making the game.. its making the story around it if you want it to be good (and not only a 10 minute game).. its like writing a complete book first... then you take this story and write the adventure around it.

    Nice one, been looking forward to more tutorial stuff and this one feels a lot more tutorially than the last few. (That's probably not a word but eh.)
    Didn't know about the Adventure Jam though, that's very tempting.
    I'd have to put my current AGS project on hold but I'd imagine most AGS developers have like five projects going at once anyway. lol

      Thank you! Ah yes, that link got broken when I did one of my countless "nuke the site from orbit" redesigns of my website. I've replaced the link with a Google Drive link. That should hopefully work. Thanks for letting me know!

    Dude, thanks for these funny tutorials! My PC can't open the latest version, so I got the older version 3.2, and it's great! I got it from a 3rd party website, and it has messed some colors in the iconbar, though it's not a big issue, please try to posta tutorial for custom GUI, though I know it a bit. Anyway, love from India

    Have one more question for you about AGS. Is there a setting somewhere that lets me see objects while drawing walkable areas? I have a bed in this room and I want to be able to draw a walkable area around it, but when I switch to show Walkable Areas, the object disappears and I have to kind of remember or guess where it was in the shot

    Hey Historian, thanks to your tutorials, I'm trying to get into AGS, but I have like...no scripting knowledge, and there's a LOT of videos on AGS that are super old and I don't know how relevant they are 11 years later. I was wondering, have you done a tutorial wherein you show how to set multiple if/then flags at once. Like "IF you've talked to this person AND you've talked to this person, then this thing happens"? I've got both events setup as Global Variables, and I can get AGS to flip them to true when the people are spoken to, but when calling on the interaction command, I can only seem to get AGS to perform checks for the first person, not both, i.e. the thing happens after just talking to one person.

      So happy you're getting into AGS -- makes me really glad to have had a part in it. :) I haven't really done that many tutorials, and certainly not on the scripting itself. But if you want to do an IF statement that checks a bunch of stuff, then you can do the following:
      Say you've got two bool variables: OpenedTheDoor and TalkedToGuy.
      You can check if both are true with the following code:
      if ((OpenedTheDoor==true) && (TalkedToGuy==true)) {
      // Both statements have to be true before this does anything
      }
      You can also check if one OR the other are true with this:
      if ((OpenedTheDoor==true) || (TalkedToGuy==true)) {
      // One or the other statement can be true before this does anything
      }
      Hope that helps!

      @@spacequesthistorian That helps SO MUCH, I really appreciate it. I watched both your "plunger at a wedding" and "opening the door with a needle and newspaper" videos and used them constantly as references on how to do the basic scripting. It sucks that there's so few tutorials out there, and yours was the easiest to follow/most recent. The "official" video series linked from the AGS website is literally 11 years old and very dry.
      I didn't think I could do this until I found your videos. Because of you, in a single day I've managed to script a very basic setup where you have to talk to a guy to trigger being able to pick up a stick and knock an apple out of a tree to give to the guy.
      So again, thank you very, very much, and please consider doing more videos :-)

      I honestly don't know. It's standard when you use the BASS template. But I don't know how to code it in myself.

      You do a hotspot give the hotspot a description you want to be shown, dont forget to draw out the hotspot like always, then go into the script by taking forexample "mouse moves over hotspot" at the lightning bolt/events tab and you type Display(""); that's it, the description will then be shown on screen!

      Lots. Wadjet Eye Games have made a good name for themselves making games in AGS (Unavowed, Blackwell, Primordia, etc.). Grundislav Games made Lamplight City in AGS. The Cat Lady and Lancelot's Hangover are made in AGS. There are tons.
