One pf my faves from a drowned field on the eponymous lp. An album that's up there for the smoothest street soul. Blessed to have the music and sensibility of Nick and Valerie.
What a lovely and talented couple. So many beautiful songs written and sung - touching, hopeful, and uplifting - this "slowly growing colder and heartless" country of mine needs a new generation of musicians / song-writers to listen to the works of the Ashfords and Simpsons of past days and be inspired to write music that will turn it around. May Nick Ashford's family and friends be comforted and healed of their current sorrows by sweet memories, shared love, and whatever faith they hold on to.

I can't imagine the Pain and the Void in her heart!~He was the Lyrics to her Melodies, and now that I think about it~ that's the perfect ingredients to a Perfect LOve/. Your woman should be the Melody your Heart sings to ,and You her Man! should provide all the right lyrics that her Heart beats to!~~ great songs are timeless as love should be~

A family friend of my parents has the album Is It Still Good To You. Fifteen years ago, I happened to glance at the album cover. Nick and Val looked so much in love that it moved me. I had fallen in love with that album cover.
