Thanks for the review Phil, I would love to see this in 1/48 scale as well, 32nd is just a little too big for my display cases.

It’s really a nice model. Probably the best 1/32 kit HK has produced. About half done. Aftermarket starting to catch up. Almost the exact size of the Zoukei-Mura 1/32 Uhu. No major fit problems so far.

nice kit looks like HK is going the Zoukei-Mura way, I love detail. This is a candidate for cut-away sections. 🤔

This is the standard all quality kit makers should be at.

G'day Phil, Thanks so much for this review. It's a relief too as I purchased this kit about 2 months ago and haven't got 'round to taking a peek. Like you, I was disappointed when I saw the kits of mates who had shelled out more money than I had at the time for the big Lancasters.
Down here in Oz, the 1/32 Lancs are still obscenely expensive, although, I've only recently seen the first, small price reductions by a couple of suppliers so, I may end up with one, eventually.
How can HKM do such beautiful surface detail yet others can't, or don't bother?
Dead right about Tamiya. They've hit a brick wall with innovation. It's crazy because they, of all companies, can afford the R&D needed to punch out top of the line 'tiny' details, that really make a huge difference.
The New Zealand spin off from former Wingnut Wings staff, 'Kotare', have truly done an outstanding job with their 1/32 Spit. Word is they are planning more Spits and various other model subjects, not too far away.
It's truly an exciting time as far as aircraft kits are concerned. I don't keep a close watch on other model types but I'm sure with the gradual development of 3D-style printing techniques, plastic model technology is due for a major 'revolution' using, maybe, the best of both worlds.
Thanks again, Phil. Always a pleasure to see your videos.
I must apologise for letting my membership lapse but I'm a pensioner now and with postage/exchange rates they way they are; I simply had to cut costs somewhere. For instance, I can no longer absorb the truly insane US postal charges any more; ending long associations with some great suppliers who had become friends. But that's the way it goes.
Cheers, and all the best. Bill H.
