  • Christian is joined by reserve driver F1TV's Laura Winter to go through all the big talking points from the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix.
    As Max Verstappen and Red Bull continue to operate at "a higher level", they discuss the chances for drivers like Lando Norris to pick up points or even wins as the year goes on.
    There's also time to reflect on an amazing homecoming weekend for Zhou Guanyu, answer some listener questions and give Laura a go at identifying Christian's illusive dinky driver.

    Dinky driver is 100% Damon hill! Blue and white suit means Williams 1996 ish and the black helmet which is definitely something Damon wore in that era.

    I wanna say the Dinky driver is either Damon Hill or Mika Hakkinen

    You need to realise that AUSTRIA IS ALSO USED FOR MOTORRACING and they can’t just add gravel when they want to…..

    • @ChristianHewgill
      @ChristianHewgill Před měsícem

      Yes they can. Then they can take it away again. Red Bull own the circuit. The resources are available to do that.

    the dinky driver is blue and vintage. surely it's nigel mansell during his williams days

      This is my guess too. Either Mansell or could be Damon Hill. Definitely Williams though

    Im not sure....this thing about Max not making a mistake "should be a testament to how great of a driver he is" but compare it with Fernando putting his wheel in the gravel as a mistake....alonso was pushing the hell out of that car... i dont see it as a mistake. Plus redbull pulled a banger with car for this regulations... thats why max does not need to push his car as had as alonso pushing his car.

      so you think the average gap between Max and Checo of 20seconds happens all by itself? Don't you think Verstappen is pushing too?

    • @BrownHotPot0096
      @BrownHotPot0096 Před měsícem

      @@erikvermolen8371 acutally if you think about it, Max prefers front end car and Checo for past decade or so has been driving only backend cars.....so this redbull being a front end car it will be much easiser for Max to drive this car compared to Checo. This car does not fit checos driving preferance checo is not like alonso to adapt to every kind of car. So i would say Checo is driving harder than max driving that redbull.

      In your mind, what does driving harder mean?
      Getting the best performance out of the car = driving harder?
      Or
      Putting in the most effort into getting the best result with a car that is set up to be fastest, but not in a way you are used to?
      The point is:
      Max gets an A for results and an A for efforts, while Checo gets a C for results and an A for efforts.
      Or would you grade differently?
