If you're looking for speed and a naturally aspirated engine forget meg's, PERIOD. That said, I have a Challenger Scat Pack(392 Hemi) and I get BETTER gas mileage than my wife's Ford Flex 6cyl AND I even get better gas mileage than my first Challenger, a 2014 6cyl and I'm not talking on Eco mode, this is running all 8cyl and I average 100mph at all times and burn the tires at every takeoff........not always on purpose. I'm a paraplegic so I have hand controls that "stick" a little so I press a little harder but, as much as I LOVE my car and love everything Dodge has done with this, one place they screwed up BIG TIME is the tires, they are borderline dangerous for the amount of hp/torque these cars put out. Particularly in Sport or Track mode
it is difficult NOT to break the tires loose and it can and will do a 360° in a heart beat, which if you're trying to do a 360° that's fine but if you're not and especially for people who aren't used to that kind of power, I'd think it could be a little unnerving. The first time it happened to me I WASN'T trying to, I was turning and (brain cramp) forgot I was in Track mode hit the gas and spun all the way around and ended up in the direction I wanted to. It wasn't the first time I'd done that just the first time in that car and the first time by accident but I'm switching to a wider tire and a street drag but I recommend to ANYONE with this car, if you like to use the power of this car, from stops or highway speeds, INVEST IN A PROPER SET OF TIRES AND RIMS!!!!! I only say "rims" because you HAVE to get a wider tire, this car needs more contact with the pavement and the rims on the Scat Pack can't accept wide enough tires, at VERY LEAST, I'd recommend 10.5" and that's with a good Street/Drag, with a "cheap" tire, 3 season radial or something similar, you're gonna want to go even wider.

Heavy yeah true, lighter than competitors also true, possible weight added in the rear to balance it out that SC V8 true (weight distribution) . A lil weight isn't the end of the world its not unnecessary weight, it carries it well its quality weight, more stable feeling true.
High performance heavy weights are heavy for a reason if you want you decide to add more power and it will still balance "power to weight ratio"out well. Seems like manufacturers make high powered cars heavy for a reason, in my eye it's like a "tamer" to prevent it from unleashing it full potential for safety aspects etc. Europe does it very often and well. Look at Bentley for example there cars are heavy asf and yet still perform and handle like it shouldn't lol they're build with quality hence the weight which also allowed them to go ham on the power to have that balanced power to weight. Heavy but still "light on its feet". Meanwhile parts of asia are doing it a bit differently, light weight and much lower power still focusing on power to weight.

Patriotic Americans truly understand the sense of pride, when owning a veh so Rich in Historical legacy, that no other car from Europe will fill that void in your heart & mind. Shelby himself, is just the Iceberg tip. Phil Remington & dozens of others made the original Shelby Mustang program so fantastic, it's legacy will never die. 2 kinds of car people in the world. Those who love V8 power with heritage, & those who want something from Japan or Europe. Only Ferrari comes close in Historical Record, to the Shelby legacy. & yet the legacy includes putting Ferrari OUT OF THE BUSINESS of winning at Leman. So the new Gt500 is just an extension of the start of 'Shelby America'. Until you have downshifting that DC-Transmission. Bringing the rev's up ea time ya paddle that Ole girl dwn like a cheerleader when u were 17 urself.
U Just don't get it, & won't get it. Forget every other 750+hp car, & just buy the Shelby. It's about the entire experience. Not just fuel mileage or interior. It's something that started in ~1962 & is still alive today, in every car with Carroll's name on it. & Engineering that Rem would approve of. 👌
