- The amazing Boeing 747-400 is my absolute favorite aircraft but it is slowly disappearing from the skies. This video is my tribute to this awesome airliner. The video is somewhat long and contains lots of O'Hare airliner action filmed from the international terminal. The actual flight begins around 14:00 if you wish to see only the flight.

A very kind viewer, Rick Los Angeles, provided the following information about this 747-400: PH-BFU “City of Beijing” is 20.2 years old and it’s Boeing series number is 28196 and is line number 1127, or the 1127th 747 produced. It was delivered to KLM 11-9-1997, It’s is configured as C35W36Y197. It’s powered by General Electric CF6-80C2B1F with a takeoff thrust of 58,090 lbs.

Yeah but the cabin is totally outdated. Screens are garbage and there is no power outlet for your personal device. Just flew with the 747 and hope for a A350 or Dreamliner for the next flight.
harv screens are actually not that bad. And “outdated” well, it’s actually nice to be a 1990s cabin because that was back when flying had way more unconditional love and happiness compared to today

Awesome report! Really enjoyed it :) you shot some awesome ramp footage at ORD. Such a nice variety of liveries, airlines and aircraft types. Then the queen of the skies, it is getting more special by the day as the 747 becomes more “extinct”. I am glad i logged one last year and am still hoping to catch a couple more before they leave KLM’s fleet. Looks like you had a great flight with KLM! :)

Whoa. KLM Boeing 747-400, the queen of the sky's is really huge! Too much KLM at Amsterdam.
Seeing that Etihad 777-300ER really put a smile on my face. It was the same 777 I flew (A6-ETP) to Abu Dhabi from ORD in 2015 from Gate M4. Really threw me back and on top of that, great video.

I just recently flew Lufthansa 747-8 and what a beautiful plane and their service was very good. British Airways will start sending it's A380 to Chicago starting May 8th of 2018 I can't wait. By the way when was this filmed?

I think KLM still only offer WiFi on their 787-9s
I've worked at ORD for so long and never asked, at 13:13, KLM has the side of the plane open and I've never seen anyone else with a 747 do that. What's it for?
That 747 is known as the combo, It is half passenger and and half cargo. So the door is the cargo door open and being loaded and unloaded. I believe KLM is the last orator of the "combo" 747!
I do the flight KLM it has half cargo and half passenger there’s two sides one for regular cargo and bag cans and the other side is called “Main deck” which usually contains bigger cargo pallets cars or ext it’s really fun doing KLM tbh
