Join Anika and Fatin, two of our star IELTS students, as they put their speaking skills to the test in this demonstration of a Band 9 IELTS speaking exam. Both students have been featured previously in separate videos, but this is the first time we have put them head-to-head.
The examiner takes Anika and Fatin through Parts 1, 2, and 3 of the IELTS speaking test, assessing their fluency, lexical resource, grammatical range, pronunciation, and coherence.
Watch as Anika and Fatin confidently handle a variety of common and unexpected IELTS speaking prompts. See their techniques for organizing ideas, using appropriate vocabulary and complex structures, avoiding repetition, and maintaining dialog with the examiner.
Stay tuned to the end to hear the examiner's analysis of their performance - does he agree they have accomplished the challenging goal of reaching Band 9? This inside look provides excellent preparation for your own IELTS exam success!
I aimed to highlight the key details mentioned in your description - that this is a demonstration of a Band 9 speaking test between two accomplished students, Anika and Fatin. I focused on speaking about their fluency, language use, pronunciation, and ability to handle questions. And I posed the question of whether they actually achieve Band 9. Please let me know if you would like me to modify or add anything!

@@KHADIJARIFA Anika is a good speaker ofcourse but fatin can generate more ideas instantly specially in part 3
Whereas Anika has a bad habit to say 'I think' i know its a filler but she overused in every single video.
Almost 20 times in her another speaking band 9 video .

Fatin seems more confident
look at the hands of fatin it is too shameful 🤣🤣😜🤔🤔🤔
Watching your video where a student, in my opinion, doesn't merit a Band 9 score but receives one is concerning. Furthermore, there are instances where students are given Band 7 when they clearly deserve an 8 or 8.5. Your marking criteria seem inconsistent to me. As a viewer, I believe it's important for markers to accurately assess students' abilities.Absolutely, here's the continuation of your comment incorporating your thoughts on the demotivating effect:
This inconsistency not only affects the students directly but also has a demotivating impact on viewers. When individuals witness a student delivering a commendable interview only to receive a lower-than-expected mark, it can greatly diminish their confidence. I strongly believe that maintaining transparency and fairness in assessments is crucial to fostering a supportive learning environment.
Fatin is better than Anika. Anika is good but not better than Fatin.
Why you using this background sound?? It’s simply irritating. 🫤
