After watching the top 3 + Suggs, I'm 100% convinced that Mobley is likely going to be the best of the bunch. And it's a steal if my Cavs actually get him at 3.

I don't understand why I keep hearing all these trade talks with the Cavs. It's not like they are in salary cap trouble. Play Love/Mobley to start, and bring Allen off the bench. Cavs fans are deluded into thinking that Allen is going to be a superstar. He's a nice role player that can spot start. You can worry about how guys fit as the season progresses. It's the same thing with Sexton. That guy could be one of the best 6th men in the entire league. Play Garland/Okoro, and bring Sexton off the bench. Unless you are getting a massive haul for Colin, I don't understand the interest in trading your best scorer, without someone to replace him with.
@@nyteowl8069 in my opinion, Mobley has traits and talent that we rarely see. We’ve seen players like Cade. All of the best players in the nba are unicorn-type players doing things we rarely have seen (Giannis, Lebron, Harden, Luka, Embiid). I also think the league is changing to where having guys like Evan Mobley at about 3 positions in your lineup will be the advantage. Tall players that can do it all on both ends of the floor at a high level.

I can see the same thing for Mobley. Mobley’s court vision and ball handling ability at his size and age are amazing and project to be very comparable to Giannis. He also seems to have a post game that can develop to something similar to Embiid. I think Wood is good. This guy could be great. Having two guys like Wood and Mobley that can defend multiple positions and stretch the floor offensively would be a nightmare for opposing teams

Mobley is quick but not AD quick and AD had the prerequisites to complete his offensive game by being a pg before his growth spurt, same with Hakeem he had prerequisites to complete his game (playing soccer to have amazing footwork, playing volleyball to be able to track the ball adeptly and time blocks perfectly) Mobley is a guy that has to grow. If we could pick him lower I’d be all in but from his size and lack of aggressiveness I’d rather pick someone else who’s talent I see now and not just the potential of talent. (Also all the other big men prodigies they atleast averaged a double double, Even wood with his slight frame averaged 10, Mobley averaged 8)

He is dreadful in the paint. He is below average at setting screens, which kills his pick and role potential. His jump shot is below average, although he has good (but slow) motion . Cant spread the floor due to a poor 3pt shot. So Mobley is good in the open court running, can defend, and is athletic. That's literally it right now.

I think it's best not to attempt to compare Mobley with Durant. What he does have is exceptional explosive leaping ability. A very good defender. A very smooth jumpshot and the physical ability to make shots while falling away from the hoop. If he adds 20 lbs and works on his consistency on offense, he could absolutely be a very good player in the NBA. He could be a bust as well. But he's a prospect. Hopefully someone can help him work on his game.
