I just ordered the resin you suggested....excited to see how well it works..
This was SO HELPFUL! I’ve been using resin for 4 months now, and wanted to accomplish a water color piece and couldn’t figure out why my “ink” wasn’t spreading... turns out I was using the dye! THANK YOU!
Same here!!
Thank you! Now can't wait for that video of you making something!!
Looking forward to your project using resin. Love all of your videos, you make me laugh when you talk to your project items! Keep up the great detailed instructions for everything you share! Have a wonderful day!
Thanks girl! You answered my questions immediately! 😊
That was very helpful, I don't know the difference between the two. Thanks 😊
Have never done anything with resin and really don't plan to, but I have to tell you that your videos are so instructive without a lot of extraneous "stuff"! I watch all of them, whether it's a project I may want to do or not! You are a great teacher! Keep 'em coming!
Thank you very much! New to resin and I was looking up videos. Very grateful for this one!
Thank you for breaking it down! I finally have an understanding of the difference
Thank you for sharing the differences, can't wait to see what you make. Stay safe and have a wonderful day.
Thank you for sharing and explaining the difference.
Your videos are so informative and educational
Thank you, this video explains so much.
Thanks for the great tutorial! Great descriptions :)
This video was really informative. thanks!
That is so cool. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for this video. I have been seeing so many beautiful pieces with alcohol ink and didn't know how it was created as I only have resin pigment. I just ordered some alcohol ink so I can expand my creativity.
Thos was such great information! Thank you!
Thank you, appreciate that!
Thank you excellent explanation!
Thank you for the info 😊
Thank you for the information
Good information
Thank you 💞
Very interesting!
Thank you!!
Thank you…this was so helpful and informative! Now, can you combine alcohol TINT and alcohol DYE? Thank you!! 💐
Thank you so much for explaining and showing the difference! Can I add a drop of alcohol to my dye and make it spread? Can I use dye and ink in the same piece?
Will these alcohol inks and/or resin dye also work on yupo as the regular alcohol inks from Ranger?
Cool
Can you use mica powder too?
I already bought regular resin ink without knowing there is a difference. I wanted to layer those colors and get this cool effect of different dimensions. Do you think it'll work out to mix regular Ink with alcohol by my self to get a similar effect to actual alcohol inks?
was there a follow up to this video with how the inks are used?
your acents awsome im from australia we dont have an acent haha
So I know this video refers to opaque dye, but what about the transparent dye colors? What would be the difference between those and alcohol inks?
I have a question I have been using resin for a while but just started using the dyes and I noticed that the dye takes longer to dry is it something that I'm doing?
No, there’s nothing that you were doing wrong. The dyes are a little bit thicker than alcohol links, they do seem to take a little bit longer to set up
Can you use food color in resin?
You can, but it doesn’t give consistent results and can fade over time.
Hey, I've only just found this after conducting some research, it's answered some questions I had, which I thank you for, but one big one I have that it didn't address is...
Eg: say I have a alcohol black River and wanted to add some gold swirls, would I be better using a gold dye or ink? Would the dye and black ink even work together?
Many thanks
For that, it would be best if you mixed the resin up in separate containers, and dyed one part black, and the other one gold, and then poured them together into the mold
@@ThisSouthernGirlCan thank you so much for that, it's obvious when you know hey 😂 keep up the good work 👍
Phil
I was told alcohol inks fade in direct sunlight?
Does the resin dye do the same?
Yes, pretty much any chemical based colorant can’t withstand too much UV exposure. They will both fade
Can food coloring be used with resin?
You can, but a lot of times it provides pretty inconsistent results. I don’t recommend it
@@ThisSouthernGirlCan thanks so much. I have some resin and some dye that came with the kit. I just want to do it right. I got small flowers for it too. Kinda chicken to do it...lol
Oops I forgot to add funny too
Finally I see why my "ink" won't spread. Thank you!
im trying to learn everything you teach us watch me forget how when i have a siezure
You make a mess? Never!!!!!!! Their happy accidents
I think this video was great I wanted to check the like but if I do my number would be 666 but please know I did like your video
too older
Use protection when working with resin! These chemicals are very dangerous for your lungs, and you should warn your audience about that, it's no joke!
Don’t use cheap resin. Only use the kind that is VOC-free. No volatile organic compounds, no problem. (Been pouring resin for longer than most people have heard of it lol)
