Thanks for the video! Brings back memories of watching my uncle and his friend gather lead that fell off of tires on the road, and then melt them to make sinkers for striper and salmon fishing in the San Francisco Bay.

What I also learned is that aluminum under the hotpot or to have on your table is very nice for safety as well as an aluminum can for the slag.

Hey Buddy........haven't seen you in a while and had to find you again. Have been following you for a few years but stopped getting notifications from you. Just hit the bell again so hope that takes care of that. Pouring lead is great. I've been doing it for 35 years for fishing and shooting. I bought out a small sports shop back in the mid 80's and it included all the fishing hooks and a ton of lead and all kinds of accessories for making lures, jigs, etc. Great fun. Just have it set-up in my basement. Nice video.

Those snaggers are worthwhile on a kayak as opposed to bringing a cast net to save on weight for a trip. I have a few of those made from the weights cut off of discarded cast nets just slipped onto large treble hooks. Good content.

Hi Steve. You probably have better sources for low hooks prices than I do
But I’ve used Captain Hooks Warehouse on the web for a lot of years.

The synthetic shirt you are wearing will melt to your skin if lead splatters on it. Cotton would be a better choice.

Just to point you don’t need to smoke those molds ...is simply a myth.
If they are hot enough nothing gets stick.
You only make them look ugly and dirty.
    Regards.
