As a baseball player the 4 seams going backwards will just go straight as an arrow. If you do it with the 2 parallel seams with the Magnus effect it will skew away

Umm....can i just say that ummm....
It seems as though the weight of the ball and the surface area affect how far it travels. You should try the largest ball you can find which is rather light. Something like a beach ball would be interesting.
It would be interesting to see this experiment with much greater angular velocity, rather simply tossed by hand. Perhaps you could improvise some contraption to get these balls spinning very fast-for example, using some wound up string, or even a power drill. Going with the wound up string idea, how does a spinning yo-yo fall?

You should get Mark rober to design a basketball that measures the Magnus effect and impact and things like that
I think that how fast the balls spin relative to size and friction make a huge difference. Tennis balls are designed to be affected by the Bernoulli principal and Magnum effect. I play all the sports of the balls tested. I can definitely make a tennis ball and ping pong ball curve a lot more than a soccer and basketball.

You should do cup flyers from the top of that dam. It's simple just tape two cups together end to end and it does the Magnus effect really well, it would be neat to see how far it goes.
by seeing that the tennis ball and baseball not going far for being smaller... we can tell that the bigger and lighter the ball (soccer ball) the farther it goes so i think they should use a yoga ball
