As soon as Makita comes out with a Stacked Lithium Battery for their LXT Line , it will Renew a Ton of interest for Makita.....

I’ve really got no guess for that, I can name a few reasons why they would and why wouldn’t. It’s really up in the air if they will do a stacked battery. However it’s pretty much guaranteed for XGT.

They have patents, but it won't change much in real life. Lipo batteries are severely overrated btw

I don't care about any comparison, because the only thing that matters is which system is used and I am happy with it.
Mir sind alle Vergleich egal, denn wichtig ist nur, welches System selbst genutzt wird und ich damit zufreiden bin.

I think makita made a step back with the 40v platform.

I had the 18v for many years and appreciate the step up in power. I've been doing solar for over a decade and I drive a lot of lags, fasteners, and drill. The 4 ah battery lasts as long as a 5ah 18v with more bawls. The ergonomics of my XGTs are worth the extra weight up the roof vs my co-workers Milwaukee and DeWalt

40v is big step up .I'll never go back

How? It's a separate system for people who NEED more power. If the 18v works for you they have plans to continue expanding the 18v line so support isn't dropping.

      @@jonathangarzon2798 no chance. They'll drop 18.

@@SB-Kiwi They are still bringing new tools for the 18V line, some of which aren't even on XGT. I don't see them dropping it, tbh
