    Realistically speaking when do you think we could reach VR FULL DIVE ? I know we should not be more than 10/15 years away if AGI comes in maximum 1/2 years and the speed at which we progress would continue to increase so it might be possible. What do you think ?
    PS: Great video i liked it very much

      The thing is, in my opinion Ai is the engine and it's going to be the limiting factor on when we get it and how far we go. because we already have most of the technology (besides making you feel in an effective way but that can also be accelerated by AI) we just need a way to streamline it into a commercial product.
      luckily for us Ai development is not slowing any time soon and it doesn't improve linearly, you can expect massive jumps in ability and processing. So it all comes down to when's the next jump and do we use it to further the VR experience.
      it could be in a few months, one year, or five years.
      PS: I'm really happy you enjoyed the video

      In 2009, there was news that England wanted to release a helmet for full immersion, and it would take another 5 years. I was studying in school at that time, and my classmate predicted 10-15 years. Oh my God, it's now 2024. During this time, there have been no significant breakthroughs in the field of BCI. Just very slow improvements to existing technologies at that time. In short, as the video author said, all hope is on artificial intelligence and its potential to become the main driver in the field of brain-machine interaction.

      I think full dive VR will come relatively soon with companies like neuralink. Maybe 15-30 years. I think vision is the hardest sense to manipulate realistically, but it is also the one that is being best replicated with current vr headsets (so neuralink might only need to simulate the other senses (touch, smell etc) and use a vr headset for vision).

      @@Proxisol yeah that's why I said we will not get it in our life time. RnD to make the console, safety regulations of it and then to make the game from scratch for the special console. What I think about Full dive VR console design is that, it is not like SAO nervegear Headset. Plug in the headset and you're good to go. Instead it will more like the 'manhwa' game genre. Like bulky gaming cokpit/medical bay. to monitoring user health. It's gonna start over like how we play games. From arcade to house console. We're gonna see a theme park where only 1 or 2 people can experience the fulldive vr first, before 10 thousand people fighting monsters in the fantasy world from their house.

    AI having conversations without built in dialog has been a thing for many years. you can go on websites right now where you chat with the AI only using text. we had this technology for a very long time. we just happened to finally add Voice.

    • @Proxisol
      @Proxisol  Před 5 měsíci

      The new part is the AI’s doing it themselves based on some parameters and being able to to dynamically react to the player and other npc without extra work from the developers and also like you said using voice

    Should mention that there's this woman that designed a system to play games with her mind like Minecraft etc. We're getting real close.
    I still think full dive should be initiated through rem sleep. Think about it: natural body paralysis so we don't unintentionally move when we're playing a game with our minds. But that's really sketchy territory, putting that much trust with your body to a machine at that point. 😅
    But it could still be possible for someone to shake you out of it possibly? 🤔 I'm not too sure. 😅

    • @Proxisol
      @Proxisol  Před 7 měsíci

      i watched the video and I think its cool af. I'm just thinking about connecting that scanner to a VR head set and now you have movement in VR. Also an AI trained on the patters of human thought like the one at 5:35 can help reduce the processing time between thinking of doing an action and then preforming the action.
      I think there are going to be different levels VR immersion starting with a ready player one type of experience, which is the easiest to achieve with the tech we have now (look up Disney holo tiles when you get the chance).
      The second would be a motionless VR experience where I think your idea on using it during rem sleep would be likely and it would probably be implemented in later levels also.
      then of course the last level would be a full dive that can mimic a real world and make you feel by feeding you brain different signals. lets just hope we don't get an SAO on our hands
