- You can send WhatsApp messages directly from Google Sheets.
How it works:
1. Use Google Sheets to format the message using the data from the different columns.
2. Create a link that can be clicked to send the WhatsApp message using WhatsApp web or WhatsApp desktop.
WhatsApp provides a link where you can put the phone number and the message text to send it using one click.
This is very useful when you want to send a WhatsApp message to customers (or a lot of people), but you want the name or some other data to be dynamic for all the customers.

instead of sending each msg individual with each click, can it be set up to send all with a single click
WhatsApp doesn't support bulk messages without API. You can not do that.
a black error message says "Hyper link only takes 2 arguments, but this is argument number 3" I can't find a workaround, not even with the bot you mentioned.
I think there are some blank spaces/invalid characters between the arguments.
You can share the Sheet with me(after removing any sensitive data), and I will have a look.
Is there a limit to text and also can we attach the image into the message ?

You can do that, but you would need API access for that.

I understand the problem. Here is the fix:
Assuming the date is in column D, in the formula where you need to display the date, use this function: "&TEXT(D2, "dd/mm/yyyy")&"
You can alter the DD to MM and MM to DD if you have a different date format.
Please let me know if this works.

I've just tried your steps, but only first few words are being sent to WA, the remaining texts are not sent. There is no error in the Google Sheet too.
If it sends two words from the final message format then the formula is fine, there could be some other issues with your WhatsApp or the browser.
Otherwise, it doesn't send only two words from a text.

I understand the issue. There must be some error in the formula you have written. Even a tiny comma can make the formula unusable. Please check the formula again. Or, you can copy the template from the video description and start working on it.

Hi , impressive , but i have a question. i did all as per your video but my text message URL is overwriting to whatsapp web link URL so in the end when " Send" link creates, it is not giving option to reach to whatsapp web link but after removing link from text message, whatsapp web link is working fine and able to send message from google sheet. its a great video thank, but right at the end you skipped over where you got that whatsapp link from to create that final link. do we need to copy paste something from whatsapp? or can we simply write the same code as you do? thanks
You do not need to copy anything from WhatsApp.

If the person does not have your contact saved, the link will not be blue and clickable.

This method lets you send only one message at a time.
To send multiple a message to multiple people at a time, you need WhatsApp API.

How to send in group
Formula is ok and giving no error but when clicking send it redirect me on my WhatsApp desktop and ask to select number from contact. I guess the problem in Phone number country code. + sign covert into = automatically in google sheet. Also if use custom formatting it is not picking + with phone number. Please advice how to write Phone number with country code correctly in Google Sheets

You do not need to add the plus (+) symbol before the country code; it works with the country code only. For example, if the phone number is '9876543210' and the country is the US, you just need to add the country code (1 for the US) before the number, like '19876543210.

Hi, there is no addional step.
I think the final link contains some unnecessary space or character.
Please check the syntax again and try.

If the receiver doesn't have your contact on their phone, they will see the links as texts. This is the default behavior of WhatsApp.

You can a new column for date, and when you are generating the message column, join it like the other columns.

I did the same, but I want to send WhatsApp messages through WhatsApp Web, not application. How can we do it?
1. If you do not have the WhatsApp app installed by default, it will go to the web version.
2. If the app is installed, you can choose if you want to send via WhatsApp app or the web version. Watch at 05:00; it shows the option; you can just cancel it and go with the web version.
3. If you already selected the WhatsApp app with the 'Always allow...' option, you can reset the WhatsApp site on the browser, so you see the prompt again next time, and there you can choose the web version.

You can not send images with this method.
How to add emoji?
You can add emojis manually by typing into the text. Like you can use Windows +. (dot) keys on Windows computers for emojis; for Mac, you can use its combination. Or you can copy the emoji from another source and put it in the text.

You can not send messages to a group with this method; this only supports sending messages to individual numbers/contacts. To send a message to a group, you would need to use WhatsApp API, which is not available for free; they charge to use the API.
