holy shit man you're a lifesaver, it works so much better now, I used some bike chain lubricant with a small syringe so I wouldn't make a mess it's just perfect
Just gotta say this worked perfectly. I used Contact Cleaner WD-40 in my case and it worked just fine. Mine came without a straw so I had to roll up a piece of paper and funnel it that way. Thanks!
Bloody hell this worked! I used an old WD-40 can with the straight straw. Turned off the mouse and hit 2 quick sprays on the mentioned spot and it worked! Brilliant find thank you so much. My friend has this problem on his 7 month old GPX and after reading forums on many people with returns this was a god send of a find.
FFS my scroll wheel became about 5% functional after a couple months of owning. Scrolling up would do nothing or scroll down completely, and vise versa. Popping the left click up and simply blowing on the white piece INSTANTLY fixed it. Thank you, my index finger is fucked from so much extra scrolling, it's been broken for 8 months Edit; after regularly doing this it only fixes it for a few minutes now sadly :/
Thank you so much! For me, blowing air into the mouse did not work. I opened up my mouse, and realized that the dust was somewhat sticking to the plastic part next to the scroll wheel, so blowing air didn't get rid of it. I cleaned that up and applied wd40 and it works super well.
I would say nothing is permanent. Mine has been working well for over 2 months now. This may need to be done again in the future or it might not but for now I have a working scroll!
Sorry for a late reply. Yes, that is one of the symptoms I experienced. I used "jittery" because I made this video for a friend and didn't really think anyone would watch it so I didn't make it to descriptive.
i love you so much, this issue was getting worse and worse but i was a little afraid to put the wd-40. But i'm happy i did now.

I would say nothing is permanent. Mine has been working well for over 2 months now. This may need to be done again in the future or it might not but for now I have a working scroll!

Exactly that, along with completely not registering scrolls at all
