Tim you can't just cut the antenna, it will affect the SWR and resonant at a different frequency. You need to buy a shorter antenna. A bad SWR on the antenna can break the radio and affect the distance which you can transmit
You should get beacon bar and ones for the grill

Hey Tim 👋, Joshua's face when he says he is giving up ticktock and you kncok him down with confidence 😅. Ideas for your truck..? Plenty for the new one truck but for the shredder plus you can also take it with you in the V8 once completed. Alot of followers have said similar things but what sprung to my mind is....how would a lite up family photo at the back of the bunk so they are always trucking with you 🤔 as my other ideas would be more for the new truck lol. Anyways keep up the awesome work ....LETS GOOOO!

It’s good money if you don’t do days. It’s a tough job but not for everyone. I’m going to do international trucking from the UK across Europe and into North Africa. It’s one of those jobs that people love but it’s tough. Weekends in services in the middle of nowhere in countries where you don’t speak the language, days waiting for ferries and actually on the boat. It’s tough but I love it, I’ve been out with my dad across the UK and Europe but I love it and always will do.

Put the antenna on the drivers side The nearer the middle of the road the higher the trees mine was 15’3 on the Merc Actross V8 Low Loader used it as a load guide didn’t catch much at all
Tim you could add a flag or banner or even lightboard at the back of your cab which people can see thru the windscreen. Could have 'Give us tones!' or something. Seen someone else say a lightboard too. Very entertaining vlog again Tim!
If you want to stop it cutting out when idling Tim just hit the CC button on the steering wheel, then the return arrow and you should hear the revs go up, should stay on then👍
Get a mat kit for the floor, something really soft and cosy
You should add a neck pillow for your seat.

Hey up Tim I've heard you can press the accelerator a little and press cruise control that stops it from cutting out after a few minutes.
should put a besser volvo badge on front grill with 2 hella light. if your ever next near scunthorpe im on channel 19 on cb. you can also get an antenna 90 degree mout attachment that will be able to put it on back of the cab . keep up with the vlogs tim
Maybe you could get a flag of your favorite sporting team or the British flag and put it behind you over the rear window in the cab
you should get some strobes for the grill or a light bar/ beacon
To get the truck to not cut out press the CC button on the steering wheel and the toggle switch under it give it a flick puts a little bit of revs on stops it cutting out

i have to make a couple of observations im afraid to say, in Newmarket Horses rule everyone gives them right of way, Newmarket was given Royal recognition as the"home of the sport of Kings" by His Majesty King George the fifth (i was born there), and second observation you can get for your CB antenna a 90 degree elbow that screws onto your magmount and then you can stick your magmount on the back of the cab, also you shortening the whip like you did while looking better will have without doubt affected the VSWR ( variable standing wave ratio) of your antenna and conversly the performance the best VSWR more commonly referred to as SWR is within the range of 1 to 1.1 to 1 to 1.5, the tractor antenna was proably shortened due to grounding problems with glass fibre tractor cabs, also a previous CB op back in the day and now a fully Licensed Amateur Radio Operator

Tim bin the FM cb get a crt9900 and a ml145 ariel , you got ssb frequencys on them , be able to talk to stations abroad and round world when conditions are right 👍

Tim, have you tried a 12v negative ioniser in your truck to ease your hay fever.

You can put the antenna on the back of the cab and use a wee 90 degree adapter
I reckon some blue LED's would look smart, 3 in a row on the bottom grill at the front (stobart style), or, a scania logo 😂
Tim re Cb Antenna you have knocked the Antenna off frequency by cutting it a thing called (Swr) Standard Wave Ratio is out van potentially over heat your radio when talking on it.. i did suggest move it to drivers side ... ALSO you need Lights on your Mirrors..
