That series was rough but we knew what was going on. We was very upset at our signings those few years and witnessed Kobe carry the Lakers to the playoffs. As for Lakers down time, if we're not competing for a title, it's not even worth our time to get excited. Only 2 decades in NBA history that Lakers wasn't a juggernaut. I question anyone who undervalue the success of that franchise. This is why fans wasn't tripping on Kobe like people expected them too. Lakers play for titles not inevitable eliminations.

Of course if you are the one who takes every big shot for the "Lakers" for 2 decades, your gonna make some. His shots were not even good shots, they just looked amazing when he did hit them...the few times he did. Real basketball fans with brains and IQ know who the better player and career was. Kobe gets more credit so in that sense I’d rather be him but objectively Duncan had a better career imo. Sustained excellence over such a long period is harder than a higher peak imo. Esp if you have Shaq

Chris always contradicts himself, he just said Tim Duncan only averaged 15 points per game the last finals against Miami in 2013. Then he said David Robinson was a beast during the first championships, he averaged 17.8 per game during the 99 season, just trying to buffer his point

Exactly, I’ll take 16 points and 10 rebounds with elite defence and only scoring 1 point less per game than the leading scorer in Parker than 2000 when Kobe scored 11 less than Shaq with average Defense, Duncan’s 1014 ring he had way more impact than Kobe had for his first ring

David Robinson should’ve been more exciting to watch, he was a super athletic big that was very explosive, Robinson was probably more athletic than Kobe

Tim Duncan was boring but he was a winner I think it’s just a popular contest with Kobe because I thought the Spurs were very entertaining to watch I enjoyed watching Kobe and Duncan they had different play styles because Kobe was definitely jack em up joe

I’d take Duncan because he didn’t have bad moments like Kobe. 2004 finals was Kobe’s fault. 3-1 lead was kobe. Getting shaq out was kobe

I've always respected Tim Duncan game and leadership, but Kobe is the one I'd choose ✌️
I'm a L.A. native I would say Kobe Bryant is in the top.7 of greatest Laker players, and all I can say he is Great!
