A few years ago I went into the gun world wormhole and began my youtube addiction. Now that I've gained a good base knowledge of firearms, ballistics, and edc gear, I went and cleaned out my feed by unsubscribing to several gun channels. You're one of the channels I kept. Professional, thorough, and good videos.

I know we're using their platform, but thier hatred against the 2A and conservatives in general is so clearly blatant! I have a super small channel that I'm trying to get going and don't even plan on ever applying for monetization now. I think you and Honest Outlaw should set up an independent website or do something jointly on another pro gun platform and post videos there. Have some free content through CZcams if you would like, but you guys are 2 of my favorite reviewers and I would not hesitate to subscribe to a website owned and operated by you both. I could do $20 a month. I'm sure others would as well.

The problem with having your own website, and gun video sites do exist, is that only gun lovers see them. Who knows what kid plays what video game, then goes looking for Garand Thumb videos of the gun he just shot. Then he finds a KSGunGuy video and gets into the dealer aspects of gun ownership. Then he watches a Yankee Marshal video and becomes a loud and angry second amendment advocate. You tube wants them gone. They need to put as much content as they can on this platform.
I agree. Sadly we don’t have a unified platform at this time.
Nicholas Rodriguez, that's why i mentioned that they could continue to put out free videos to youtube if that is what they want to do. However, it's important to have a platform where they are free to put out content for the community and not be controlled by any overlords. Also, I don't expect KS, Honest, or any of the other gun channels on CZcams to carry all the burden of fighting for the 2nd amendment on their shoulders. I'm a 2A supporter to be sure but I'm watching these channels for the reviews, not the politics.

I’ve long been a critic of channels basically begging for money for the last couple years. CZcams is a platform everyone can watch for free yet many channels get upset because people don’t want to pay for their content. My response to that is, do they give money to the creators of every video they watch on CZcams? I’m going to say no lol. Now they seem to all be at each other’s throats basically fighting over patreon supports because the well is running dry. What I appreciate about your channel is you stay out of that mess and you don’t threaten me with no content if I don’t become a patreon supporter and I respect that a lot. You have won over a viewer here, thank you.

Sorry to hear this. I dont have any suggestions, as im a small creator. I have got so many videos flagged by the hundreds saying not acceptable to all advertisers. So all my new videos I do not monitize. I demonitized most of my videos. For me it took a lot of the pressure off to put out videos; now I just make quick videos of what I enjoy doing.

I had been struggling and trying every thing I could to earn even 1 dollar a day on my channel...I never did even reach that goal. Now I wonder why I was sweating pennies a day. If you go off the air, then we all lose as a legal gin owning community. Do you think that some of your local gun stores would be will be to do a raffle event, where you can sell tickets for a chance to win a sweet gun and then you can share in the money raised. Ot sure how that is done, but just a thought.

It seems like they’re slowly doing this to all the guntubers. I currently don’t have the funds to financially support each individual channel, but I’m all for a subscription to a site that has many of y’all! The supporters of this type of media need to unite and collectively move to a truly open forum. I wish I could pay patreon for each of my favorite channels, but I just can’t afford it. And do remember that patreon is only passively accepting of this content for now.
I think it would be great to find an alternative for all of us that functions like YT. Perhaps that can happen at some point. True about Patreon, though it’s the best solution for now. Thank you and cheers!

I think the only answer is to grow the firearm content on youtube. The answer isn't patreon, it's only a stop gap measure until some new evolution occurs. I don't think consumers will accept having to patron every youtuber to watch their videos. If youtube was more affected financially they would certainly change their policy. Right now the gun channels are only making youtubes pockets deeper by continuing to post content for free.
Unfortunately growth takes finances. It's a reality we can't get around. I do agree that we need a new evolution but until the bigger channels step up and lead the charge with their high visibility, the current answer is Patreon or "shilling" which I am not willing to do. Thank you and cheers Russ!

What did we do before the internet, CZcams, cell phones and Social media? I find I have less freedom having these things in my life because of this overarching idea that somehow I need to stay connected and update friends and family, that there’s this expectation of me. As a 16 year old I hopped on my motorbike and rode 1800 miles on my own, occasionally phoning my parents to let them know I was still alive during the two weeks I was away. That was freedom.
Think back on life before the internet and how much better it truly was; you were probably already doing what you loved. Go out and shoot for yourself and your own enjoyment not as an alternative to TV for the bored masses. Hey man, I love your “if I could have only one reviews” but only because you lean heavily toward the CZ Shadow 2, if you didn’t; I’d drop you like a bad habit. Just sayin’. 😜

Ever considered Full30.com? Ian&Karl of Inrange said that viewership there is minuscule, but as long as it's not too much hassle, it should be better than nothing. And it's significantly higher number than on Pornhub, so there's that.

Here's my suggestion, if you feel you can prove that you have followed by the terms and conditions , yet, have been treated differently than other channels, resulting in financial losses(damages), get an attorney and sue You Tube/Google
