One of the Best US Anthem sang all-time alongside Whitney Houston Super Bowl and Marvin Gaye NBA Allstars game.....Great voice and will never be forgotten. RIP Aretha.
The best part of her verision of the US Anthem was afterwards she said "Play Ball!" Now that's a true sports fan if you ask me.

I've always loved this performance. But I do have to say, the music is very obnoxious. I wish Aretha would have just sang the song without the music.

Aretha stripped the song of everything that gives people a special feeling for America and turned it into a monotonous heap of wornout of R&B cliches. SINGERS: Please stop making the moment about how amazing you are, when it should be about how amazing our country is.
