- While flat foot is a normal variant of the foot, when it becomes painful, it becomes a problem. There are surgical and nonsurgical treatment options. Lynette met with orthopedic surgeon, John Bleazard, MD, who tried nonsurgical methods to help Lynette. When that didn't alleviate the pain, Dr. Bleazard recommended the All American procedure.
I’m 28 and I spoke to a doctor about the all American flat foot surgery. I don’t give a damn how painful it is afterwards. It’s gotta be better than how I am now.
Did you get it done? I’m got a consultation this month
@@amirs3739 how was consultation? I just had my right foot done on Friday, the 27th.
@@DannyWifi the doctor told me that i should try othrhotics first but since i have already tried and used them for months upon end. i just told him no i want to do the surgery. now i just have to find a way out of work and do it.
@@DannyWifi could u please keep me updated on your situation, thank you
The only bad thing about the surgery is being non weight bearing for so long. Honestly I had very little pain
I am having a similar surgery to this in October. I have constant pain so the pain of surgery is what I am willing to go through if it means I can go hiking again
I'm 16 now flat foot really sucked the fact it ruin my whole child hood due to this its really sad . I always used to get bullied due to my way of walking I've been experiencing this pain since when I was 8 since that my pain is increasing finally I'm gonna do the surgery i hope it works out .
did I miss it? I didnt see anything that explained that it was
Currently recovering from this surgery, along with the addition of my surgeon lengthening in my calf tendon and muscle during the surgery as well. I don’t know if anyone else has had this issue but I’m not able to lift my toes, even before the surgery, I’m still recovering (I got the surgery 2 and half weeks ago) so I don’t know if I still can’t lift them.
Hi dear what is the cost of that?? And in which country you did it??
I have a consultation with a surgeon here i Ireland. I deal with flatfeet, unfortunately on both feet. The pain is.. So bad on the side of the ankles, on the heels, and shins. So I'm looking at getting the surgery
Is it minimally invasive surgery?
How is she doing now? I would like to know if it was successful or if there were any complications? Does anything fail or need to be tweaked or re-done? I have had painful flat feet since I was a child and am now 44. It has turned into the beginning of arthritis...and is becoming unbearable.
I see my podiatrist next month after an MSK ultrasound. My challenge is I also have a connective tissue disease that effects all of my joints (some more than others), and I’m already likely dealing with pain from orthopedic hardware placed to stabilize my left shoulder after I fell and broke my proximal humerus.
I had a surgery similar to this. I had the Hyprocure procedure. I have mixed feelings about it. I am still not able to wear heels. 🥹
I don't no how long ago you had your surgery, buy I just had mine 4days ago.june 14th*And boy dose it really suck. The fun part is that I still have to get the other foot done. But the journey is definitely not a easy on
I have horrible flat feet, I have no arch at all but i don't know if surgery will help because the stuff they will inset in my feet will be in deep, deep pain later on in my life
I had this same procedure with (4) procedures combined into one. I had it in 2007. It was beyond hard. Unfortunately, my surgeon cut a major nerve and I have permanent nerve dam age which as of today 11 years later is still an issue. I need to have work done on the other foot which has become too painful to bear any longer and I am dreading it if this is my only option. I am hoping the medical field has changed some in regard to this procedure.
@@mallory3525 me too but if u want to live a healthy life you should do it it will hurt you like for 1-3 month
I'm gonna have to get surgery on both feet. I'm getting surgery done on May the 31st. I hope my recovery and everything goes well.
