...my late wife & i adopted a stray Russian Blue mix (most likely Angora) ca 2007/8...had him until early this year...he was a cutie who absolutely LOVED his daddy and was most dog like in his affection...he'd sleep on my chest at night and nuzzle his little putty nose against mine - and jump on my lap when I was sitting on the can - and play with the roll of toilet paper...I miss the little cuss so much...
Cute little guy, I can see he's going to be a very friendly cat when he grows up.

There are a few ways you can tell if a cat is in a happy mood, firstly they will "knead" with their front paws, secondly their tail will be pointing straight up.
Sadly my wife and I just lost our 16 year old Russian blue and my heart has never been broken this badly before. His name was fiddy and he was my tv watching partner and he slept against my legs at night in bed..we are diffently getting another russian Kitten. He was the most loving cat and man did he love chicken. 😂

I’m shocked to know your Russian blue lived to 16 . Mine died 4 weeks ago only aged 12 I’m still devastated I share your pain ! And guess what he loved chicken too!!! It’s very hard to replace now they are so expensive! Still hoping for a reasonable priced one !

Such a sweet and playful kitten. It has been almost 4 weeks and my 3-month-old Russian Blue kitten is still hiding from me 😞
Awww. It took mine a couple of days but that’s because she loves to play so I would have a wand toy out and she will come from her hiding place for play time. By day 5 she became my shadow. I hope your little guy gets more confident soon
the more the shy the kitten is the more playful it will be when It gains your trust, so keep going!
Give yourself some time. 4 weeks is not too long to get a skittish cat to ease around you. It helps to occasionally bring threats so as to encourage the cat to ease out and leave. And of course, _respect a cat's "hiding spot",_ that one they trust enough to sleep and hide in whenever they get scared, preferably their own "box home". They will learn to associate that place with calm and that it magically keeps your human trolling at bay, an important thing in a cat's psyche.
@@glidershower Thank you for your long comment! It has now been a year and the things have really changed then. Now she's usually sleeping near me, always in contact and has been such a playful little girl! It's been really about time.

My half Russian blue has his siamese Dads temperament he's very outgoing vocal despite abuse for the first 6 weeks of life! Facially my boy has the big siamese features! I may get a blue kitten? But I find the breeds timidness off putting! I prefer the siamese mix! That said blues are loyal smart playfull and I like them!

Aww he looks just like my kitten, i suspect he is a russian blue due to traits and look, but if anything i think hes mixed cuz he was found on the streets so i dont think hes pure even though he looks it

I had to go through the checklist to see if my Yuri is a true Russian Blue, his eyes are bursting from two colors, yellow to green, he has mauve paw pads, blue/grey coat etc. I’ll have to upload a video of Yuri 🙂

My little buddy was named Earrrl. Lord Earrrl Grey, Count of Bergamot. Such a tiny kitten who would grow into his titles and become an epic Tom cat.

I have a russian blue that i saved in the road showed up at my buddies garage crying. We trapped him and hes now home with me. i see yours and you say hes 3 months hes half the size as yours im guessing 2 months. im trying to get him to trust me. Got his bowl next to my bed but hes so scared im guessing he lost his mama and fought another cat. So shes super scared hopefully she will trust me her name is grís. (Greece) 😊

You gotta think twice about that. Beagles are bred to hunt. I have 2 ShihTzu & a RB that was a feral/stray in our courtyard. The only reason we took her in was because she got along with the dogs & they with her. Not all breeds of dogs are ok with cats. Please research further. Russian blues get scared easily. You wouldn't want to traumatize it.
@@isiriscasiano3719 lmao just bc they were bred to hunt literally dosen't mean they hunt everything my dog dosen't even know how to hunt she lazy asf and loves other animals even my brothers pet bird also beages are good with other pets and children they're not big dogs so do me a favor and search up "Are Beagles good with other animals" do a little reseach before telling me to think twice about something bc my dog was bred to hunt and also cats and dogs can get along even if they didn't grow up together

They really only eat raw meat. Usually beef and some chicken and pork.

From a breeder here in New Zealand.
When he is to tiny ,dont castrate him to quick ,waite 1or2 months longer that he can grow
I love my Russian blue cat with one exception . No matter what I do she still will try to steal whatever food she finds or sees! That pisses me off!ughhh
