my russian blue loves to wake me up by laying and purring so loudly on my chest and then head butt my chin and face hahah!!! he is the absolute best cat, he is so hygienic, calm, smart and curious, so loving yet idependent!
We adopted a pair of Russian Blue brothers. They are so fun and well mannered. One is very affectation, the other is more play oriented. Best cats ever
How old were they when you got them ? I got one and it’s Been 2 days she has not stopped crying & she’s still scared of all of us is that normal ?
I have a Russian blue and a Siamese, Russian Blue has clearly broader intelligence, especially considering she tought herself how to fetch, and tries to clean the house and the dirt the siamese cat does.
I love both of them, but the siamese is much more loud, vocal, and is not aware of her body strength or ❤the environment.
The fur too has been more messy of course, but that I expected.
I am very lucky that the Russian blue was the first cat we had, so that the siamese cat follows her and copy most of the behavior.
They are so well trained they go to sleep at 10 and get up at 7. I am a lucky owner
I miss my Russian Blue with whom I shared a strong bond that lasted over 18 years.
I have a RB brother and sister. They will be 17 next year. i will be versad when they are gone.
My Russky follows me to the bathroom and to the mailbox. I regret that he is not a lapcat, but he is devoted, purrs constantly.

Hi, thanks for the show, I enjoyed it. I just adopted two beautiful Russian Blues~ a 5 month old brother/sister I named Boris & Natasha (from the Rocky & Bullwinkle Show cartoon.. Yeah, I'm that old😹). I've had everything from Abbies to Tabbies, and these are outstanding pets~ smart, sneaky and sweet. The low shedding is a blessing! The two of them brushed weekly shed less than my single Siamese, who I brushed every night. They have a great internal clock, regarding meal & snack time, showing up a little early and waiting patiently. One thing is different, though, they aren't fans of loud transient noises, like a firetruck suddenly going by. They both get very alert and wait until it subsides to relax again. Thanks again! Ciao

Cosmo my Russian blue is the smartest animal I’ve ever seen and he knows English words and talks to my family. We always know what he is saying and he has his own personality . He loves dogs and knows how to love life and he shows others how to enjoy life. I am very allergic to cats and I’m not one bit bothered by him. He feels like velvet, barely loses fur and, somehow he always smells good like a scented candle. People have told me so many times that he smells wonderful and sniff him more lol. He was $2k. I tried to adopt but I couldn’t get them. 5 months later I got him from the 14 time world champion breeder from Russia who now lives in Boston. If anyone wants her info please me know. She built her house for blue’s. It was Amazing!
I grew up with about 5 of these cats while i was a child growing upWe had 3 boys at one time.OH yes these BOYS WERE LOVELY GUYS. ALL NEUTERED. YES THEY DID HAVE A FEW BOXING MATCHES!@ THEY R VERY SMART. CALM CLEAN LOYAL SNUGGLERS😘😍

My RB greets me when I get home for about 20 minutes until I pay attention to her. She always wants to watch everything I do and be involved. If I'm working on my computer and she wants attention she knows how to turn it off - that gets my attention. And if I'm watching TV after dinner she will lay down and put her head on my foot and go to sleep - a catnip. ❤
You can work on a computer with her in the room? My little big guy would just lay down on the keyboard. Oh, and yeah, he could and would unplug things with loud motors. Vacuum cleaner? Ah, nope. Not happening.

I used to have a Russian Blue, name was Otis and he was a sweetheart, always walking beside me and my little brother to school and back home like he was protecting us!
My Blue LOVED my Mother. She gave him lobster and made him his own batch of meatballs. Do the math. She was his favorite.
Other passions: Snowstorms, Thunder & Lightning, playing Laser Tag, watching the Boston Bruins, and chasing cars. Oh, and attacking me on a fairly regular basis just to stay sharp and make sure I knew who was in charge. It was just play, but he liked to play rough ... with me, anyway. And he was the strongest, most muscular cat I've ever seen. And he was GORGEOUS!!!

Yes indeed... I said "adopted," but should have been more specific, sorry. 😺 Mine were rescued from a high kill* shelter by a group in Los Feliz, CA. They were on the schedule! The $210 each they tentatively asked for happily went to the sweet people who saved their lives, raised them and cared for them for 5 months. Best of all, they could now go out and save more kitties! Yay!! 🎉🥂🍰
*BTW ~ Question: Who goes to work and kills puppies and kittens? Answer: Serial killers in training! 😡I also support NKLA~ No Kill Los Angeles~ a shelter devoted to making all of Los Angeles' shelters no kill. In fact, I saw 2 Russian Blue siblings there when I first started my search, but they weren't socialized enough for my needs. Three months later it all came full circle, except this time I could pick them up without (their) violence and (my) bloodshed.🤣🤣 Thus endeth the story. 😜
I got our Russian Blues from the shelter. They were a few days old, sick with lung/nasal infections. They were rescued, treated and healed. I got them at 3 months. Best kitties ever.

I adopted my RB at a local humane society, she chose me and was in there for under 2 years. She has a respiratory problem and an eye drainage that is minor and can be treated if an issue. She is also more clingy due to the humane society.
Russian Blues might be quiet, but man once they figure out how to make certain noises (like opening and slamming cabinet doors) to get attention when hungry, it's game over for sleeping in :P

My RBs were rescued from a high-kill shelter by nice people in Los Feliz, CA., just in time~ they were on the schedule.😨😡 I ran across another brother/sister and a bunch of single RBs, so if you're patient (my search took 4 months) you can find them from no-kill rescues and foster homes. You pay a couple of hundred dollars, not a couple of thousand, and all the money goes to saving more kitties! Win-win! They are out there, waiting for you, and they're awesome cats! Ciao 😊👻

Umm... Why most cats in the intro part are not Russian Blues but other breeds with blue variants?!? I mean, British and Korats and Nebelung are all very stunning cats but Russian Blues they're not.
We had to use different cat breeds to fill the video, unfortunately there's not a lot of Russian Blue footage out on the web.

my RB is a butthead & uses the wireless router to warm her pawsies. she follows me everywhere but when i want to cuddle there is a time limit. she chats plenty to my husband but with me, just complaints & demands. she gets easily tired of new toys so now i just replace cardboard boxes every other week or so. she isn't allowed in my room so she loudly screams at my door exactly 5 mins before my morning alarm goes off. she's equally adorable & annoying & doesn't have one violent bone in her body - no matter how much i harass her, she will never bite, scratch, or hiss. she cries nonstop during car rides & loves children, surprisingly. she's my first cat ever & i don't know if i can ever love another pet as much as i love this buttheaded diva.
