I remember watching this in 2012 before our Friday night football games. Still gives me chills to this day. Words to live by.
I remember I was about 65 lbs overweight. Instead of listening to music at the gym I would listen to this and other motivational speeches. 3 months of keto and intermittent fasting and gym everyday at 5 am. Lost all the weight and haven’t put it back on. These words hyped me up more than any song could.
Damn. 2012. This video helped me stick around. Powerful stuff. Came to mind today, 10 years later :) Stay strong my friends. It's worthwhile.

Before my final exams, I had one class I needed to get a 97% on the test to get an A in the class.I listened to this video day and night. I studied hard and long. I took the test the first day of finals week and made a 97%. I made straight A's this semester because ET gave me the motivation to succeed. My point is you need to make your priority your life, and then implement a plan to succeed and ACT on that plan. I am so happy I found this video. From the bottom of my heart ET, thank you.

I used to watch this video everyday when this video was new and it used to motivate me so much. Then I got injured and got thrown off the path for a good minute. Good to know it's still here all this time later.
10 years ago to the day, this video helped ignite the fire I needed to become successful. Sleeping in my car, going to college, getting a job while maintaining grades to fast forward having 9 successful businesses with my brother and sister. We did it together. All because this video helped flip the switch to realizing all I need to do is want it as bad as I want to breathe. It was no longer about feeling like it or getting motivated, it was about making it apart of my DNA. So lastly, I want to give all that glory to God & also a huge Thank you to ET for helping understand what the mission was. I’m forever grateful

It is near finals and people are dropping classes and it relates. Eric Thomas saved my life once when I needed an inspiration and he was the only one. I have become lost over time because I have not been trying to be alive. I am reconnecting the dots and making what shouldve be done before a task to be done now.

December 2021- this video has helped me get through so much in life. 9 years ago, I used to watch this video before every softball and volleyball game I played in high school. I continued that to my collegiate career for softball. I grinded with the video to finish my degree and graduate college. Now I am out of college and in my teaching career. I’m going through a rough patch and I found myself watching this video again. Made me cry and gave me motivation to push through life’s struggles again

Real talk!! Only one thing we have to remember is sleep is important. We can do it marine style all day all night. But long term no sleep leads to brain issues like parkinsons , amnesia etc. Got to have brain power too. But nothung away from Eric. I never needed someone to motivste me, so to have Eric bring out another level for me is huge! Thank you Eric! #balance
He doesn't mean you shouldn't sleep though. What he means is being so indulged in something working on a project or whatever that you forget to eat and sleep. You gotta want it so bad that this is what could easily happen. Just staying up working 3 days in a row won't do anything, but if you're effectively working on something you enjoy so much and that you're so consumed by it that you forget about eating and sleeping then you will be successful. Passion.
Watched this video now 11 years ago while I was going through hard times studying to get into medical school. Now I’ve achieved my dream of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. Thought of this video and looking back on those times and that grind almost brings tears to my eyes. Keep grinding, stay on your path, dreams do come true with hard work.

This got me through a premed in 3 years and PA master's degree.. and sometimes, I still need to hear it. Thank you so much. You helped a broke female veteran excel through insane hardships. I can't even believe my story... but I'd listen to this at 3 am over an Anatomy book and keep going. I'll never be the smartest, but I work harder. I want to succeed as bad as I want to breath-- for myself, my patients, my family etc.
And specifically when you said "I don't need a dime" to go through it, that was a final straw for me every time. Because it's true. I would have learned every skill in medicine I have so far for zero compensation just to help others. I needed that reminder about the greater purpose.
This video saved me from depression and possible suicide. I lost my business in 2011, the same year I was diagnosed with acute kidney failure. It was this video that got me back up and kept me 💯!! I know you'll never see this but ET, thank you man - Keep spreading the Lord's work!

I take everything seriously now (washing dishes, cleaning and sticking to routines). I'm so motivated by you and I just wanted to let you know that the first thing that I will do when I achieve my goals is come to this comment to let you know I did it.
Months ago this video helped change my life I was alread trying to get in shape but I didnt push to my limits or beyond them. I've since lost 30 pounds and my focus to succeed is razor sharp.

Used to listen to this before basketball games and managed to be blessed with opportunity to play collegiate basketball (just D2 so nothing crazy, but a lot to me) then got to college and forgot what this speech feels like, lost confidence, and ended up quitting. I don’t want to look back over my life and see the jobs I could’ve had because I lost sight . Everybody stay strong…staying motivated is one of my largest obstacles
Had always dreamed of doing an Ironman and around 10 years ago actually signed up for one, at age 51. Never comfortable around water (an incident as a kid), the idea of swimming a mile out into a lake scared the daylights out of me. This was one of the videos I used for motivation. I was really struggling with my self-confidence. The way I changed this is through trying to convince myself that I can do everything and making small things on my personal progress. Every little change you achieve will boost your confidence. Kind of a virtuous circle! The one thing that really helped me to do so was Forwago and I am so thankful because I found about it.
