They need to rethink their strategy. Each release should be special but the way they do things, it’s the same products, with color differences.
I got my comments deleted from the reveal of this because I asked if they were releasing a Red lip kit for the Rose, and why when they clearly have access to the art, did they not add some colour, Bold Golds, Rich Blues, Reds, Purples, Porcelain White. Why were the blushers the tea service, and not actually anything like Belle's soft blushing face? With freaking Lumiere, why did they not do supershock shadows and highlighters?
It stinks, because I actually like their makeup, but they either discontinue a good formula, or never restock the ones everyone asks for.
Ulta and Target by me doesn't get much of their products either, so online was it. Also, every single time I buy Supershocks, they are dried out.
The AUDACITY not to make a highlighter called "Lumiere" when the incredibly obvious translation is *right there* for them.
Kathleenlights did a line of lip products that were called that many years ago, maybe that's why they can't use the name anymore?
Literally knowing they’ve done handheld mirrors before and this is a collection they chose not to do that with is wild to me lol
That would have sold like crazy on its own! ❤
Fr if they didn't have Bell on some of the items it would look like any other collection

Honestly 😭. I was really hoping to get a makeup collection to go with my Beauty & The Beast brush set from Spectrum Collections but this was so disappointing. And the palette on the darker model looks so chalky. I can’t really wear most of the collection, so I didn’t even bother spending the money. The rose just seems like they forgot about it and threw something in at the end.
Maybe if CP would stop releasing new collections every 15 seconds, their quality wouldn’t suck so much shit and the color stories would be unpredictable and interesting. Now they’re just repackaging entire palettes and calling them new collections. Boring, dusty, crusty, and overhyped across the board from them lately.

@@paresseuxdesneigesSad that THIS is their slowdown. They’re still creating entirely too much fake scarcity with these launches. It’s still way too much. There’s already an issue with overconsumption in the makeup industry and they’re playing into it worse than nearly every other brand.

I think even if the palettes were only marginally more imaginative, just not being bombarded with new releases all the time would make a release like this feel more exciting. I really wish they would stick to 9 pans of non-nude COLO(U)RS, too. Nobody is buying themed pallettes to create a collection of basics so just give us tempting shades. I don't want more pans of shades of brown I already have 100 of 😭 Even if I loved the rest of the color story I can't justify the purchase when I will never be able to use the redundant shades. You're paying to waste products. So many other things Beauty and the Beast themed I would enjoy more and could display rather than shove into my overflowing makeup drawers to be forgotten.
Also think about the stained glass. Like why not play on that???

I did snag a blue 9 pan pallette from their target collection, it was called "blue velvet" and was very similar to blue moon (but better in my opinion with more deep shades)

I feel like what colourpop have been doing with their collaboration palettes is creating a palette that the main character would use if they were real in their daily life rather than creating a palette that represents the entire story

I never buy theme palettes for just the outside, but I came *super* close for Profusion's Jurassic Park palette. It opened, had tiers, and played the theme music. It looked like something from the theme park's gift shop. 😍😍🥰

I feel the same about CP's themes. The colors in Disney's animated films are so gorgeous, so vivid, that it is hard to understand Disney inspired palettes when they are this subdued. That said, I truly like the soft look you produced here. While it doesn't evoke Beauty and the Beast, it is very pretty.

With that being said, i do think theres so much more that could have been done with this collection, could have made a purple blush for Mrs Pots since there is purple in her character. And the mirror, how could they forget the mirror!?!? One of the most iconic things from the movie!!

Beauty and the beast is my favorite disney princess. Everyone always looks at the golds and yellows but there are so many more beautiful colors in the movie like you mentioned the pink/ purple theres blues theres dark navy colors! Black and then at the end its pastel blues purples and happy yellows!! Ugh so much potential!

I did get the blush because I love Beauty and the Beast. Also got the rose lip mask which was gross and smelled like kid makeup rose.

Beauty and the Beast has always been my favourite Disney movie and as soon as I saw this collection, I knew... I was not going to buy it. For me, I appreciated what they were going for... But the dart landed quite a bit off-centre. I mean, the dart is somewhere on the board... But not worth sinking money into!

Whaaaat? I was literally thinking of this film the other day and how beautifully done it was. Belle was a strong woman who thought for herself and loved her father and believed in him. She was not afraid of Beast and stood her ground with him. And as he started to change, slowly, she opened her heart to him just the way he was. It’s such a beautifully done film. All that being said…

I agree, the palette was a snore. I just got my blushes and lippies about five minutes ago and I’m excited for those, but I felt like there wasn’t enough dedicated lumiere. I wanted the lip mask, but I knew I wouldn’t like the rose flavor. I also felt like the lippies should have come with a lip pencil to make a kit.
The Mulan palette! I forgot I have that one… I should bust it out before it goes bad 😅

Robert, you make everything better. Overall I am a Colourpop fan. Although the pallette is a little uninspired some days a nice neutral look with a nice rich brown is all I really want. This one offers a bit more flexibility than the e.l.f. bite sized pallets I usually reach for on those days so I wll be giving this one a try.
Love the packaging and I love a lot of my CP pallets but this one seriously is lacking pigmentation. As someone with dry lips the mask works for me. I put it on before bed and am good in the morning
Don't have much time to watch right now ill watch later. I bought this collection and love it think the eyeshadow is beautiful. I couldn't get the Sigma one as they weren't shipping it to UK so happy I got the CP one. X
I'm just over the lack of thought Colourpop put into their collabs at this point! They have been so lacklustre for so long! The last palette of theirs I actually got excited about was the Powerpuff girls collab and that was ages ago! Since then, nothing has grabbed me enough to buy it
I laughed when you said the twilight collection was a dud. I know it got mixed reviews, but it sold out twice and needed to be restocked. It now has finally started to slow down. I might pick it up if the extra stock pops up on the Ulta website. Colourpop's collection have always seemed to be a little lower quality but are still ok. 💜
I think the Legend of Korra palette is the only branded palette I’ve liked so far. The colors really go well with my deeper skin tone but idk if it was everyone’s cup of tea

i love and appreciate your honesty! beauty & the beast means a lot to me because of a spouse of mine that passed away. definitely do not feel the need to buy the collection.

I mean if you take away the yellow packaging and the copyrighted characters on it, it’s just very basic makeup. A lot of collabs are arguably about the packaging, but like Besamé/ Disney collab level packaging is worth paying for, even if the thing inside is just a pink blush or a red lipstick
I haven't bought anything from Colourpop in a long time. I remember when I used to be excited about new releases...now it's a bunch of neutrals with a pop of color...I'm falling asleep...lol 😂

Would've loved to see them do a silver-leaning highlight called 'the grey stuff'. Maybe not the most original idea, but it could've been interesting. Probably going to pass on this one, there just isn't really anything new it it for me to justify buying. After having my kids I don't really wear makeup every day any more, so it feels like it would go to waste if I was buying more frequent palettes.
Let's face it, Robert could use the insides of a garbage bag and still make a look that beats any of the other "influencers" out there.

It was already in the discounted retail stores here in America last month! It looked a bit underwhelming. I put it right back where I found it.
I picked up a WnW Sesame Street palette at Dollar Tree. Good reminder that drugstore brand eyeshadow + licensed characters = usually a flop! Now at $1.25, I don’t mind & there’s enough pigment in the fun shades to do a pride look, but the quality, esp of the neutrals, was worse than even 2010 WnW formulas. The money gets spent on the license & marketing, rarely on good product.
This palette kind of reminds me of the warm toned palettes with a pop of blue that all the brands were doing about six or seven years ago. The blushes could have been brighter to match the 'blush' that Mrs Potts has in the film.
Only one I enjoyed from them was Avatar Kora. It had a lot of variations in that palatte and brought something different with the blues, greens and red. Everything after that though has made me sad :(
