Ryukhar, Grandpoobear and Carl Sagan42 have absolutely eaten up all my CZcams time this year since MM2 came out. Highly recommend those latter two if you’re after more good stuff
Moonlighter sounds like a modern version of 2007's Recettear. Except in Recettear, from what little I've played, you don't personally do the dungeon crawling combat (instead you're a companion there who picks up items from the dungeon) and there's a timelimit to get as much money as possible before you need to pay the rent.
I think a time limit system would have really tied the game together, maybe something like Pikmin 1. There is a quest system, where customers will request a bunch of items that drop from enemies in like 3-5 days. The rewards are good for them, but you could also make a decent amount of money just continuing through the dungeons to get better treasure, so the system felt like a waste of time.
Appreciate how the load screen gets progressively more cursed as the video goes on lmao Good stuff as always, narration was on point and felt super natural
Okay, first off: finding this on the "science controversies explained in depth" channel was a strange experience. Going backwards through the "Videos" tab often yields more of the same, but not on this channel. That said, I know this is nigh-on four years old, but one thing that really grated: it's "gree". It's the French word for "grey". The "s" is silent. Hearing that game repeatedly called "griss" was ... just, nails on a chalkboard.
I know this video's over 3 years old, but just wanted to point out: there's a game like Refunct but much cooler imo. It's called Lemma. It's basically a platformer like Refunct (visually VERY similar) but with some amazing parkour gimmicks to rival Mirror's Edge. I played it way back in highschool and thought the plot was sick af, but laughed my ass off replaying it after finishing my undergrad. Gameplay's still as unique and amazing as I remembered tho. Thought I'd give it a shoutout.
Lines X is literally just a paid version of Flow Free, what a ripoff. I'd like to recommend Rubber Ducky and the Rainbow Gun, if you ever PC game. It'll be the same bargain bin concept as leftovers from a big purchase, but on steam. It's probably the most fun i've had with the cheapest game possible.
calling into the breach an rpg feels aggressively wrong like on all sorts of levels. its probably the last game most people would call an rpg it doesnt even have the tag on steam and that tag gets slapped onto just about anything even remortly resembling an rpg.

I see them all the time in my recommendations, I'll give them a look!
I love this. I have so many games saved and ready to play now. Thanks for the quick game reviews.
So we're all just supposed to forget about creature from the Krusty Krab?
lmao sorry, I think I mentioned it in an unlisted update video that I stopped that because it wasn't very fun to make. Sorry about that!

I really want to play The Touryst now.
It's great, only about 4-5 hours to play. I went ahead and got 100% because it was so enjoyable.
You should try Oneshot and Omori!
You seem to really enjoy physics and also like games, I'd say you should try out Outer Wilds, I cant tell you anything without any spoilers
I don't think there's a single game in that list that I wouldn't play and have fun =)

I'm here, 3 years later, to point out that I'm pretty sure "Gris" is pronounced "gree", French for "grey".
