Warriors Of The World United is without question one of the greatest songs ever made, and this cover does it 200% justice.
Don't know what to say. The simplicity, yet beauty of the original...
Being a huge Manowar fan I expected a lot from this cover. In the early stages it really delivered as it was supposed to. Introducing the sheer amount of different vocalists was first very confusing but then it felt quite refreshing. Everyone had their place instead of it being a crazy mash up of stuff.
Usually I'm not a fan of those long screams but in the last chorus when Melissa Bonny unleashed her scream it was insanity. A while later Ben Metzner continued and I was even more blown away. When Thomas Winkler unleashed The last high note I was already unconscious.
That was pure excellence.
Not to mention how the video was made. It never grows old, just like none of the Feuerschwanz videos. They're like movies that you can watch time and time again without growing tired.

@@vepristhorn8278 His could’ve been better, but considering he did silly poses all the time in Gloryhammer I’m not surprised that he continued it (sans the giant space hammer). I’m not convinced that the choreographer (if there was one) didn’t just go “alright everyone do something” and rolled with it. Alea and Ben had the best of the bunch IMO, though (Melissa’s were interesting, but felt too… flowy?)

It honestly wouldn't matter if the new singer was bad, I'm too hooked on the story to not keep listening. We're apparently following Angus McFife V now, as opposed to the 1st in the 1st album and XIII in the other 2.

@@ChloeHartzog They are withholding information at Thomas's request at the moment, so I went with the most likely scenario which also seems to be the consensus at r/gloryhammer. His voice has been audibly diminishing and it's especially obvious during his last few concerts. While I'm really sad to see him go, his complete lack of vocal training and over confidence seems to have done him in this time.

This literally brings tears to my eyes. Brought me back to when I first heard Manowar. That feeling of hope and inspiration I had as kid. It was unlike anything I ever heard and really cemented my love of heavy metal music.

Nordic based music always hits different but this is a masterpiece that anyone will have an incredibly hard time matching. I've listened to this over a hundred times and I'm sure there's many hundreds more listens to go if not more. I cannot express the feeling this song gives me in human words. It's got all the power of the gods in one 6min song.
Which is incredibly given the fact that the main act, Feuerschwanz, isn't taking itself serious at all. They are like the german court jesters of medieval metal. Only that they know how to play their instruments and how to sing "properly" if they want to. Check out "Metnotstand im Märchenland" and you'll get what type of band this usually is ...

They 100% had their own reasons but yeah, firing Tom was a catastrophic move for the band, finding his replacement will be really hard with his voice and energy on stage. But at least he shouldn't have any issues finding another good band to sing for if he wants

Feuerschwanz are taking over. What a year they had and they’re only getting better. I’ve heard this so many times now and I still get goosebumps. Especially with the last section. So many amazing voices together. As far as covers go, one of the best I’ve ever heard and will likely stay that way for a very long time
I thought it was awesome, too, and I'd only head "of" Manowar, never heard their music until I searched for the original after hearing this. The only cover I can think of that comes close to rivaling this is Battle Beast's Wild Child (W.A.S.P).

This is seven levels of absolute f**king awesomeness by the power of the mighty gods and goddesses themselves. Incredible version, you’ve done justice to the original whilst also putting your own spin on it and it’s amazing. Also, brilliant make up, great costumes and a wonderful castle ruin. This has made me emotional to be reunited with all the metal warriors of the world out there when we can finally go to live festivals etc again.

The more I hear Thomas the more I realize I was a fan of him, not Gloryhammer. He was the heart and soul of the band and I can't wait to see what he does in the future.
I still like the style of music of gloryhammer, same way i enjoy this, but its certainly lacking in vocals. Winkler is a great performer even if some people aren't fans of his voice (WHY??)
@@kdub7706 People are GUESSING that Thomas's voice was going because of the few performances he did after the initial batch of covid. Which personally I wouldn't have said immediately he was bad I would just guess he was rusty. Especially since it was such a long time in-between live performances, additionally live air performances are usually shittier than the recordings done in a studio so personally I think it would have been stupid to fire him over that. also when he did the live performance back in august he sounded fine in FEUERSCHWANZ - I See Fire ft. Angus McFife (Live) | Napalm Records so personally I doubt reddit is correct because reddit isn't usually correct

Personally, I prefer this to the original. The number of different singers really makes it feel like warriors of the world uniting together!
I was there, I remember when this song first came out. And I saw and heard the hordes of posers claiming this song was "bad", that Manowar had "lost their touch"... It warms my heart to see that true metal endures, forever! \m/
In the end MAnowar was right, I got this album as soon as it came out, I was 18. I loved it, and Swords in the Wind.

Warriors of The World United Such a Freaking Awesome Battle Stuff.
What excites me the most about this cover is that all the artists in the video clip are about 20 years younger than Manowar. In other words, they all drew strength from Manowar's song in their youth, carried this sense of belonging, and when they reached the age when Manowar sang this song, they prepared this cover together. This is really meaningful. And with the folk music elements, this song becomes stronger and richer.🤘
