  • I'm so excited to for the next installment of #roxysjournalofstitchery Volume 6 - Field Notes. It sounds like the perfect blend of stitching and journaling. Over the weekend I pulled out some things from my stash that I'll use as inspiration, including the following books:
    - Wild Flowers Of Australia by Thistle Y. Harris
    - Collecting Ladies: Ferdinand von Mueller and Women Botanical Artists by Penny Olsen
    - The Country Diary Collection Book 19 Country Cross Stitch
Will you be joining in this volume?
    Thanks for watching,

@@leannescraftycupboard the excitement is palpable! It’s my favourite project of theirs so far. Thanks for stopping by Leanne 🥰🌸 I’m excited to see how you interpret the prompts.

Hi Melanie, the wild flower book is just gorgeous, we have so many beautiful Australian natives. I have just started my first Roxy challenge I’m attempting to sew a vessel, it may take me all year but that’s ok. I’m look forward to seeing how this challenge goes, good luck with yours❤

Hi Jodie 🙂 I feel the same way about our natives. They’re often overlooked but so stunning. All the best with your new piece. The great thing about these challenges is you can go at your own pace. Hope you have fun with it.

I'm always inspired by the Roxy girls' challenges but have only made a huswif out of all of the volumes of stitchery so far. Even that didn't start until the girls had moved on to the next prompt! I already know I won't be making an accordion style journal but I may do a scroll, we'll see. 😉

Sounds exactly like me Sue. What’s great about these prompts is we can use them as a starting point and interpret them in a way that works for us. The hardest part is not pressuring ourselves. Hope you find something enjoyable to work on in the next volume 🤗

I’m looking forward to the field notes volume as well. I finished all of the current volume except for the box. There’s a lot I still have to stitch on the top piece. It will get done eventually though.

So exciting, Candice! Well done for finishing as many projects as you have. I have good intentions at the start of each volume, but something always pops up. Fingers crossed I get the time to dedicate to field notes.
