- Meet Warcry's newest warband! What they lack in height they make up for in eggs. Eggs and axes.
The Vulkyn Flameseekers hark from the Lothnir Lodge of the Fyreslayers and they're not mad on the big ol' flamey lizard Vulcatrix for killing their father god, they worship Vulcatrix instead. I guess cos it's just proper impressive. Learn what it is that's brought these grouchy flame-haired duardin to the Gnarlwood, when I think they'll arrive and what might be coming next for Warcry as we linger in the Heart of Ghur.

That's a magmadog and I won't call it anything else
So... I've now changed the name of this video and will pin this comment.
TEAM MAGMADOG 🤘
I love this video - quick, funny, and explains the adorable charmanders to me so I don’t have to read
Thanks very much! This was a bit of an experiment with format as I rarely manage to cover news in a timely fashion and kinda wanted to celebrate dwarfy-warcryness. I shall continue to finesse! Thanks for watching :)
Now the pup in this set is a proper addition, I think GW got it right this time. The new Kruleboyz box has apes that I feel seem out of place ….they look great, but where’s me gnashtooth cub?????? The Beastflayers offal hounds look amazing and suite the warband…. they’re just tooo expensive to be worth taking in the first place. Especially when you’re wanting to capitalize on the pack tactics triple anyways. I know they’re going for a beastly theme here, but was as it even a good idea to include the offals? …They’re flesh eaters….they’re all animals!!!
Haha, yeah, I found the apes in both an unusual choice. It was a fun excuse to shout APE ALERT in my review video, though... so every cloud ;).
Maybe everyone's just adapting to the Gnarlwood environment and APE wins out? ;) Next we'll have moonclan with squig-apes 😁.
Lol what horror! ….aaand very likely to come true! Thank the maker for your ape alert coverage though, it was all expertly placed. I didn’t hear any national emergency alert tones going off !! The geese were quiet too… very suspect!
@@eggiwegs Quiet geese is VERY suspect. Be wary sir. Very wary.
What a great video!
Ahh, thank you!
That's good to know :). It's not getting as many views as much of my stuff, but I sort of challenged myself to get a vid out that was just 'news' as quickly as I can. 😅
I'll keep playing with format - thanks for watching! :)
So awesome man, allways like the fireslayers but thought they looked a bit dated, these guys look amazing tho, even have that magmadragoth pupper.
Definitely!! The battleline dwarfs and even the magmadroth riders looked a little... posed like action figures? They were an early AoS released and things have moved on so much. These are brilliant, and I'd be really tempted had I not sold my soul to gorgers and cities 😁
I hope they aren't too slow. Move 3 will make objective games unwinnable.
Any stats leaked?
No stats available as of yet! But, hopefully, they'll start dropping abilities and some stats for Warcry soon as they'll hopefully appear for pre-order in the next four weeks or so, if not imminently :)
...I do expect them to be move 3, but the magmadroth pup will at least be faster and who knows, they might have some abilities that give them a bit of oompf :)
nice video thanks for the updates
Thank you! This one was a bit of an experiment in filming and editing comparatively swiftly to try and get a 'hey, this is new!' video out, instead of my more usual odd stuff. I think it kinda worked, kinda. Thanks for the feedback! :)
Also the dwarfs are really cool!!
I love warcry warband that are based on actual factions on AOS. I'm not a fan of the gang type warbands. Roll on the Goblin warband
YES! Grots for all. Always Grots. 😁
Whilst the roadmap doesn't favour them currently I'm sure they'll turn up at *some* point :)
@@HobbyJackal dwarves vs goblins a classic combo. I would love to see the Old World Warcry
@@peppermintshore It'd make a great one-off. I'd always be up for them porting rulesets across. Why not a 40k setting Underworlds spin-off? But, it doesn't seem to happen and I think they like the distinction. It'll certainly be interesting to see if they do do a TOW skirmish and if they continue to resist the allure of Mordheim :)
FINALLY! decent dwarfs out of GW! i like the Kharadron but i hate painting metalics and an army of slayers felt cool but the extreme levels of over designing that went down with them was not to my liking. warcry had a serious over design issue as well imo for a while there but since the askurgan the warbands felt very clean and tight. these are the best none hero unit dwarfs we've seen from gw since aos started imo and if i can base them on at least 28.5 bases instead of 32-40 I'll be VERY happy!
They're really cool, aren't they? For me, the main axe-touting battleline fyreslayers always looked a bit awkward (I think it's the way the arms are posed) and something with the magmadroths felt similar. I didn't dislike the overall aesthetic, but something about the models didn't quite work for me.
These however are fab! If I weren't already sold on gorgers Vs cities, I'd be picking them up :)
@@HobbyJackal completely agree, to me the mohawk to dwarf ratio was always just abit off and while the aesthetic made sense for the grimdark He-Man thing which is AoS and its epic fantasy vibes, i would have appreciated some understated troll slayers with the more elite units being the crazy fire spewing berserkers hammering bits of their dead god into themselves and riding the children of its vanquisher into battle.
i don't personally like every warrior on the table looking like a depiction of a god and only really distinguishable by the ridiculous oppulance of actual god models.
@@joyahorrorshow Entirely fair, and I think this is something that's *really* been factored into the Cities of Sigmar. Albeit in the other direction where they're all the common foot sloggers. Which is fine and works there, as they can be allied to Stormcast for a bit of shiny heroic pizazz 😁
