all he's saying is that Tottenham are a joke for their non strategy thinking. He's telling that it wont work with conte either. He never really praised Mourinho as the better choice.
It's like you guys only want to hear Mourinho being a terrible coach when he isn't. Lol.
Mourinho has his style and people care more about "the beautiful game" more than winning by all means. Lol.

Thank you Irish Guy :) . I can see that a lot of people in the comments are frustrated about the fact that you acknowledge the greatness of Mourinho. "Mourinho is a washed-up manager..." is among the stupidest take here, and it is contradictory since it assumes that Jose must achieve wonders with a midtable level team which is something we don't ask Klopp, Pep, or others to do. Tottenham was among the top five scoring teams in the first half of the season last year. I was told that Kane and Son would be banging goals under any manager, well time as spoken. And we will see in the future if Kane can get top scorer and playmaker of the year under any other manager. Conte is a great coach, I just think he should not take poisoned jobs as Jose did for his past 2 clubs........

And the sad thing is, sacking Jose just before a cup final wasnt the first time, it happened with George Graham being replaced by Glenn Hoddle, and we all know how that ended. We should have just sold Kane in August, brought in a patrick Bamford and maybe Beisla too, and just got on about being what we can be. A cup team. Shit, anyone under 30 wont even know there used to be this thing about Spurs winning a cup when the year end in 1.

I know I sound stupid but I fully agree with this. Conte, like Jose, needs MONEY; and Tottenham DON'T GIVE MONEY. One of the main reasons José failed is because he wasn't fully backed in the market. He made a couple of signings, but nothing that was going to be enough for him. Conte is the same. At Chelse, he was given the right to spend whatever he wanted, and he won the league. At Inter, he was allowed to spend, and he won the league in 2 seasons. but when the funding was stopped, he walked! He needs money, and he needs committed players. Do you think Dele Alli is going to want to work with an angry manager like Conte?!

He demands backing and can cause toxicity in the dressing room. Considering Daniel Levy is one of the tightest businessman in the footballing world, he probably won't be jumping at the scenario of giving Conte £150m to spend every window. This could very easily end in disaster. Conte is the wrong appointment for Tottenham. They need a Graham Potter type of head coach, not a nasty born winner like Mourinho/Conte.

They are lucky that they still have Kane, Son, Hojbjerg and Lloris, because they can never buy those kind of players again. They have to settle for players like Leon Bailey, Alexandre Plea or Danjuma. Its a miracle that nobody has bought these players, but Son has to take a step up in his career, because he's world class and Kane desperately needs a new challenge. What Hojbjerg said post match was so true, like they are professional footballers. They should always be motivated to work hard, because its their privilaged fucking job. So many footballers see their dreams crushed, or they cant sustain themselves with football alone, meanwhile Delle Alli probably hires someone to get him out of bed.

I can't imagine how miserable Spurs fans must be feeling right now. They have been given a wonderful opportunity to level up their club and stake a claim as a top side not just in England, but in Europe - they've just moved in to a beautiful new stadium with a huge capacity, and they didn't go into massive debt in order to pay for it. In the economic landscape of the modern game, that's absolutely huge.
But Daniel Levy and the top brass at Spurs have made a total mess of this club. And this has been going on for years - they didn't back Poch with any signings and then sacked him months after he got them to the UCL final. Replacing him with Mourinho was doomed to fail, and the timing of his sacking was a joke. And then they spent the summer bullying Harry Kane into staying and killing any motivation and love he might have had for the club, and ended up with an at-best second-rate manager who they've now sacked after 17 games. What an utter embarrassment.
I agree that Conte would be mad to take this job. I can't think of any top manager who would want to work for Levy.
