As Gary Neville said a couple of years ago "he understands the politics of the FA and it isn't easy". He won't go anywhere as if he did, it will go against everything he has every believed in. His book is called "Anything Is Possible. He brave, be kind and follow your dreams" and is all about facing setbacks and facing it again. And look at the last year of comments you can sum it up easily. Such as how it is clear the aim even 8 years ago was to win the World Cup in 2022 but as he said: "You always seem to get what you want in life but it always seems to come 5 years later than you originally expected it". Yes, I agree if he became unpopular and got death threats he won't but I don't see that happening. Yes, he will have his critics and usually they are most likely those most vocal on social media, but again he knows that and doesn't care. He does what he thinks is best and even said 2 weeks ago: "Every time I pick an England squad it, I commit a crime".
I think if you take it black and white as what you see from most media (minus 'The Athletic', a few journalists at The Guardian and Sam Wallace at The Telegraph) then it may seem that way. However, once you get past the fact that this "accidental Manager who just happened to fall into the job when England had a good pool of talent" is not the true story, then you start to see it all in a very different light.
(It is pity I can't link the video I put together on this topic as I recognise that this sounds somewhat of a conspiracy theory until you understand the history)

@@carlybishop6160 so what you're getting at, is he's done a good job? And yeah everyone has an opinion about team selections, I honestly don't care who he picks. I just think in game when sterling or mount or having a bad game or look tired they should be brought off- he's got his favourites no doubt about it. I seen someone else make a comment about the safety blanket and how we got over the loss of a semi final within 3 years by winning the denmark game. So maybe next time we get to a final(hopefully Qatar) it'll be our time. I think he has done a good job the football isn't fantastic but it's a result business so it is what it is.

The only one who is worthy of replacing Ole, and the only one who should be even considered replacing Ole, is Eddie Howe. Ole is good, but united are still finishing top 4 with him every year, for real results, they should employ Eddie Howe. Reckon he'd take united on a good europa conference run

Last season inter had the 2nd most goals and the best defence and at chelsea again the 2nd most goals, yes the season after wasn't great but he still got them the league.
