Old Harry bloody brilliant they dont make em like that anymore. He tells a jackanory like no one else. Should av been England manager least we'd av a larf.
Harry's comments about West Ham's league success reminds you that the manager - Ron Greenwood - who succeeded in coaching West Ham to the bottom half of the First Division in spite of all that talent available, was made England manager when Bob Paisley, Brian Clough, Keith Burkinshaw, Howard Kendall and Tony Barton were subjugating European clubs for almost a decade. The FA has been the problem with English football.
I saw Harry play many, many times. He was .....mercurial. We used to call him twinkle toes because he seemed to dance on the pitch. I remember one game against Manchester City when he was tackled and I swear he was thrown 3 feet into the air. He has always seemed to be such a nice guy...his wife can trust him and that can’t be said for many “celebrities”.
We got, Harry, Harry, Harry, Harry Redknapp on the wing, on the wing. Oldies like me will remember that
Bobby Moore the greatest defender of all time and the greatest england captain nobody has got near him and will never will
Thanks for posting this. My mate told me he was on and I totally missed it. Said he was brilliant and I agree!
