So cool that this video was made before he hit yet ANOTHER grand slam before the season ended, and homered in his 2 first PostSeason at-bats winning the Twins their first playoff win in 19 years. He continues to back up the talk of him being a star. So lucky I got to be there for those 2 homers in the first playoff game.
Add another Grand Slam! 5 now.
Royce is unreal - been a treat to watch! So glad he is on the Twins! We may actually win a playoff series for the first time in 21 years. (19 to win a game)
Bro it's been 21 years
@@cronoesifythe pain is unbearable
@@cronoesify it’s so long we don’t remember so long in fact that the best player at the time retired before I was born and I was born 14 years ago
this aged well for sure
This aged Super well LOL now we won 3 of our last 4 LETS GO TWINS!
Royce Lewis is my king
He’s just built different. The moment is never too big for him!
I love royce lewis
He hit another grand slam a few days after this
ROYCE IS THE MAN
PLAYING OUT OF HIS MIND IN THE PLAYOFFS RIGHT NOW
He's a great kid who truly loves the game so I'm happy for him while this lasts. Hopefully he will go on and have a successful career.
Great summary! He started the season 23 years old, so it's not like he's coming in super late
Ya that’s a little on the young side for mlb. Judge was 27 when he first got called up. Not everyone is a Bryce Harper or joe mauer or mike trout or Griffey Jr that gets called up at 18
no but in terms of how long he's been a professional its a long time. Every number 1 pick and tons of first rounders from 18, 19, and 20 has already surpassed their rookie year. Even Henry Davis in '21 has nearly as many games as Royce already
Yeah he was a high school pick. If he was a college pick and between injuries and covid he lost 2 and a half years of development, that couldve been devastating for his career longevity.
And he has hit another since this video got posted
Manny machado comp? Big time SS prospect blocked by a veteran moved to 3B with two torn acl
Just had another grand slam against the White Sox, 5 now
This video is golden. Thanks!
If by some miracle they can snap the playoff losing streak, (please for the love of god please just win a game) Lewis will be the guy who does it
Making us forget Buxton, oh wait he did that himself
@@TerryBerryKix true, it’s a long shot but if Buck could go one one of his yearly “LINsanity” runs in one of the series that would be sick lol
@@Mattmister9822 you mf you called it!
@@iamdebirdie I guess I just had a feeling 😂
Love this type of content gomes.
Yep my favorite Twin. Come on Buxton
Buxton is cooked. Can’t play the field anymore and he is the worst DL in the American League (.105 BA against lefties) and below .200 with men on base.
Great video 🤜
My Royce 🥰
And hit another after this video.
All hail King Lewis!
It’s like will benson for the reds he was a 1st rounder drafted in 2015 you should make a video on him
Then another grand slam few days ago!
I enjoy your mlb the show content. This is great content too. Let’s go Twins!
We make the playoffs (hopefully), at least we wont have to face the Yankees
i've never taken the time to do this, maybe it would be an interesting vid? How many of the top 10 ranked prospects in baseball each year actually go on to be stars in MLB? Or even just be on MLB team?
I’ll give it a look!
Daddy royce
Fantasy team goat
Great video! One note though, he was called up originally because Correa went on the IL… was sent back down after Correa came back, not Miguel Sano. Sano didn’t come back from the IL until July.
Miguel sano
He’s only 23 tho
I know it's a technicality on contracts but isn't it a little silly to call someone a rookie who has 7 years of service?
Idk where he was gonna play with when we had arraez (bull shit trade) and Carlos and brooks lee who I’m very high on but he looks good at second potentially
The Twins always try to shove players upto their tier of incompetence. Relievers masquerading as starters, first basemen masquerading as second or third basemen (cough Sano, cough Julien). Lewis had no business being in center field. Better late than never I guess. The kid has moxie. All the fingers and toes are crossed.
The dbags did that with marte. I guess the idea is that shortstops have good arms and good range and would therefore have starting tools for the outfield, but it'd be like putting byron buxton at short. There are so many distance and obstacle awareness differences to take into account when you play a position, maybe they figured they needed the versatility since all of their outfielders were getting hurt.
Royce and Buxton terrible injuries but man without em twinkies would be stupid dangerous, not including Correa's medical
Buxton was never very good. He’s low IQ. Never learned how to recognize pitches. He can hit off mistakes but the ppl think he’d be an MVP if he was 100% healthy are completely delusional. He’d be hitting .220 with 150 Ks and 30-35 HRs. Not even close to an MVP player
