and there's a chance that Skate 4 will come out after gta 6, but that's ok, as long as they make a good game I don't mind waiting tbh

the customization is something that was so needed, lots of potential fr i’m so happy they did that (the cool shit will probably be paywalled but wtv the grip tape mods, all the wheels colors the stickers u can add etc looks rlly cool)

I disagree. The controls are the only downside on this game. SkaterXL/Session controls are just more realistic to skateboarding. Skate 3 is absolutely amazing and I wish we had session controls back then. Skate is amazing because of its features, story mode, animations and flow but not for the control scheme which is completely outdated.
@@LucasSantos-yh1mi womp womp, we want the outdated controls. this is quite obviously not supposed to be a super realistic skate game. why would we need realistic controls when launching 100ft drops and doing parkour swan dives? go play those realistic games if you want realistic. Skate games are not realistic, theyre the easiest skate games to play because thats how they are designed.
@@leanlobster69 I never played skate 2 or 3 this way I always tried to go for realistic gameplay and that's me. You can play the way you prefer and it's fine. It's not only about being realistic, it's about being better generally, it's more intuitive, have better learning curve and way more possibilities to what you can do with the inputs. It's easy to read the acceleration input and you get to decide how you want your board to flip.

No, no one that truly was a Skate fan wishes there was session controls, they are terrible. Skate had it's charm and that included the control scheme, which isn't outdated by the way. I recently played through all of them and they all still hold up today. Skate isn't a simulation game.

Playtests are never smooth, usually a buggy mess but hey that what they’re needed for. Playtest give devs insight on whats wrong with the game and what kind of bugs they need to fix

Good to see it coming together. Glad to see rail variety. Those small kinks at the end made every rail feel the same in Skate 3.
Still seeing a little more THPS than I personally like but that’s my opinion. Would much rather have a great city similar to Skate 2. That was the best map because it didn’t jump the shark (pun intended).
5:01 is the part i like. There showing you can play the old way or there new way which make tricks looks more real. Im for sure playing the new way.

they should add realistic mode where its like 100x harder to land a trick like irl u can break ur bones and that can messup a run jus like 3 but have it where balance and speed take affect as well and a first peron pov that would be nice

Notice how it says "pre-pre-alpha" on every frame? That's because it's pre-pre-alpha. Of course the animations aren't finished, of course it's un-textured. They are usually some of the last pieces to be done. Gamer kids are the fuckin' worst. They will bitch and moan about every thing without taking five minutes to understand even a tiny bit about the development cycle of a game.

I'm so worried about the gameplay being too floaty etc.. because this would go like it always does; floaty gameplay -> good for casuLs, but from this footage it's looking pretty good tbh.
it's like a mix of skate 3 easy mode and skate 1 physics. skate 1 was a bit floaty at times.
yeah it looks a bit floaty but seems fun. Skate 3 had the "hardcore" mode but it kinda ruined the experience because the game was designed around the ollie height from normal mode

Relax man. If you didn't know that there is a game in development you wouldn't care for it. We see this stuff every month for a year now. A good game takes time. It only feels like a eternity because they are Posting this stuff all the time.

All I will say is that they are taking their time with playtests and actually listening to feedback to get things right. Give them the time they need.
How do we still not have full textures in game? I think they aren’t adding them because most people are expecting the overall look to be more high res and realistic when it’s actually going to be more “cartoony”. Delaying the backlash isn’t going to stop it.
i hope this is genuinely going to be a good game, too many newer games have been letting me down lately. mainly the fact that everyone has been adopting this microtransaction, game pass, battle royal type shit.

It looks awesome! One thing though, does anyone else feel like the skater animations feel a little too floaty? Like they don't feel like they have much physical weight to them when they pop up or land.
But game looks great still can’t wait too get my hands on it I been playing skate 3 for 13 years still playing till this day can’t wait to ply this game I know the wait haves been worth it🎉

So I’m pretty confident the game mechanics are going to be solid. But Im just worried the world isn’t going to have that genuine feel like skate 1&2 had. I feel like the map is going be messy or feel more like a TH map and not a flowing city.
I'm so fucking stoked that they added better wallrides, now we just need better create-a-park features, and a community modding section, and ill be full chubbed on release.

Literally in pre pre alpha. They haven't done anything for graphics yet. It will go from pre pre alpha to pre alpha then alpha. They are just getting started making sure the mechanics work before they just throw graphics in with a trash game that don't work. The graphics will soon be seen when the time is right.

im just really hoping theres a realism mode or world settings because so far the grinds and stair drops look way too glued and the pace just feels off after playing stuff like session with the large amount of world element customisability (gravity/weight) it makes finding a preference for enjoyment/realism much easier this is the same reason skating in riders republic flopped imo as they couldnt find the right balance
I don't think they have gotten that far yet. They are really taking their time to try to get things right.

session is a great demo but they're no longer working on it. It needs transition to be added badly. They have a dude that can make maps, but no actual game developers

I agree but Session has no transition skating and no game developers working on it. They have a designer that can drag and drop objects onto a map and reskin textures, but the game is effectively no longer in development

To anyone that wants to play skate 3 on their PC, You could steal it and it does work well or if you are subscribed to Gamepass Ultimate You can cloud stream it to PC from an Xbox 360 server.
