This thing when you order your selected units to attack an enemy unit and only half of them attacks while rest of them stands nearby is annoying

And also assign the unit's to a group with hockey cntrl+1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 so that all move at once and also install unofficial crusader patch so that the unit's will all have better pathing

Swordsmen don’t move fast enough to stack like the spearmen. Reduces the damage their front line can do.

I wish at least we had a good spear unit in this game since spears were actually kinda op in real life battles and every nation used them

The units in this Game are just more for rolplay lol. In PvP its Always crossbow, Knights, horse archers and pikmen or swordmen. Every other unit is basicly useless. All the other units are for campain and roleplay only. You can kill the Computer with Assassin's fast but No Player in general.
Stronghold therefore is heavily unbalanced but thats the Charme. Its Not supposed to be balanced, its supposed to make you feel like a Lord and roleplay the campain by deciding what units you want to go in general and create your own Standard castle like the AI.

You have to set thier behavior to aggressive if you want all of them to keep attacking instead of standing around
