Lea is a goddess! A disney legend. She's currently doing "Sweeney Todd" in Singapore and sang and shoot the official theme song of Sea games.
Even as a kid Lea sang with such clarity, perfect enunciation and pitch
I love her too! She has an amazing timbre for musical theatre. I particularly love how she belts in Miss Saigon and then sings in the lighter head voice for Mulan and Jasmine. She has an amazing, flexible mix that has great dynamic.
"impeccable diction" that's really true. that's what i like most about her. i never get tired of listening to her songs because of that.

Different singers and styles. Imagine if most songs, if not all, is patterned with that of Lea... Lea is a legend and one of my favorites. But I also like Slapshock, ChicoSci, Greyhounds, Disturbed, LinkinPark, Korn, they are those who literally shout/growl. Then again, varieties make music enjoyable. Much love! 💖

I appreciate the way you're analyzing her performance here because you're highlighting both her weak and strong points. I remember she made a comment years ago in a Google fan group about her signing technique, and said that she actually studied classical singing, not because she wanted to be an opera diva, but to strengthen her singing in musical theater. So that she could belt those high notes with much ease. Because from what I remember, the fans were discussing about the singing technique of other singers/belters, and some of them just scream those high notes and don't sound good at all. Also I've always been curious about Lea's voice type and range. I'd like to believe that she's a light lyric soprano. But I've been reading comments saying that she is actually lyric Mezzo-soprano so I'm quite confused. Is she a lyric mezzo or a lyric soprano? Thanks!

I'm glad my 66 year old mum changed for good. She becomes a good listener, unlike when we were younger that she implemented whatever she had in mind. She knows now where to put herself in the house, and we all live happily even to this day.

It was the last song she sang after singing several at the Globe Telecom event that year. It must have been too tiring to her voice without taking a break. We can only admire how she sustained those high notes. Perhaps when she sang this song in the beginning and doing Reflection at the end, it would have been different.

Um. You can also do a glottal attack for timing purposes, which she does on "here I stand in the light of day". There's no laws about doing it without the glottal attack, and Lea chooses it. You think the best vocal technician on Broadway chooses something different from Idina "My voice is great, my technique is awful" Menzel? Sure she does.
