omg thank you so far the only teacher that ever talked about raising soft palate without yawning exercise. this helps me greatly as I get it a little by yawning but to sing it's not a natural position. By vowel lessons I get it fully. Thank you

I’ll have to listen to this many times, but I learned a couple of things to begin to develop my tongue muscles out of my throat and it’s importance for keeping the throat space open and what my tongue could be doing with different sounds! I’m clueless with this. Thank you.

Hi Freya. I like all of the things you are saying.., however I think there are some things that might help you in achieving full tongue and throat freedom. If you allow your jaw to release (melt) in the space in between your molars (almost in your ears), the tongue will naturally release back (under your jaw) naturally and not have a depressed sound and the tongue will not boat down and have a flat sound. also this will allow your throat to open and larynx to drop even more. Just a thought! Cheers!

    Hello, Freya!
I have a question about the space in the back of the throat you're talking about.
When we sing low notes, should we still keep the throat that open, like when we sing high notes?

Hey Freya I practice everyday alone and I got a question how can I control the amount of breath I let out when I sing? For example when I sing an ahhh sound, I sound good and on pitch but my ear also picks up too much air being let out like a ballon with a tiny hole in it. Is this because I am not maintaining full vocal cord closure?

I know I'm two years late for this answer, but if it helps, my teacher always says that you have to control the airflow with the diaphragm

    Sorry let my introduce myself.
I am 33 year old man. I had so many teacher. They all trained me different ways. Some off them just said to me "you have to do what I said or else" others just wasn't even interested in my progress
