Were it not for Home Free selling me on country music, I would not have learned to love this soulful sound. Chris is a true musician, both vocally and on that guitar. Thank you for "Cold" -- might not have found it on my own.
Chris wrote Cold. His voice is gritty and he is a Master Shredder on the guitar. He's one of the finest talents of our time. He's written so much music that has been award winning. Check out the video of "What are you listening to?" He wrote that as well. Like your stuff! Keep it up!
I love your breakdown and comments on Chris! Two songs you have to react to is #1 "ARKANSAS" LIVE AT CMT AWARDS (make sure you pause video a few times or it'll get blocked) #2 "DEVIL ALWAYS MADE ME THINK TWICE" LIVE AT CMA AWARDS oh and #3 "NOBODY TO BLAME" LIVE AT CMA AWARDS... THOSE 3 SONGS ARE FIRE 🔥
I LOVE your reaction and most of all, your spot on analysis of this musical treasure. I've seen a lot of good reactions to it but too many don't actually watch all the way through. They close their eyes and such and miss the head tilts and how his whole body belts out the passion. It's the whole Chris Stapleton experience. Great reaction!
@Mayze Chris turns his head to side & closes his eyes or looks at his guitar because he still has some stage fright. His wife convinced him to share his voice to the world & he agreed only if she would be on stage & sing harmonies with him! He’s gotten out of it some now but she still sings harmonies with him on most of his songs. Not all but most. Just wanted to share that with you! Thanks!
Grew up with him and this whole stage fright narrative isn’t true. His label and wife did convince him to do a solo album but he’s sang in front of crowds since 6th grade and earlier. Plus he’s as humble and kind as he seems.
Great reaction. I couldn't find any Beth Hart on your channel. If you haven't yet, I IMPLORE you to do Am I The One? Live in Paradiso!!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT!!
Recommend checking out. Casper Fox, a young gifted tenor who has decided to learn bass as well. By day, business manager to the Bass Gang but also an acapella arranger and singer. Either performer alone or with guests. His latest cover is Toxic which he performs with a jazzy vibe together with Jennifer Glatzhofen and Ryan Tang. Jen, who has a successful reaction channel, mainly acapella, is also a talented vocalist herself.
Your reaction excellent love your old soul. Listen to Its a MAN'S WORLD live . He was at a concert and was called on stage hon you will love it. Also Death Row you can feel the thoughts of someone on death Row.
Derek Mixon (Drummer) doesn't get near enough credit. He and JT Cure (Bass Guitar) are a major part of Chris' performances. "I Was Wrong" - Austin City Limits and just watch them handle his improvation.
Time for Tennessee Whiskey live at Austin City Limits. Get ready to see Chris and his wife Morgane show you how its done!
+1 on that.
Once you get to Sometimes I Cry -Live and I Was Wrong -Live you’ll really start kicking off your Stapleton journey. Great reaction !!
And it needs to be the live version!

The guitar is another element of his voice. You're in for such a great ride. I'll be along for all CS songs.

Better description of his voice: gravelly, whiskey soaked, smokey.

If you want to see a group of musicians enjoying themselves. Watch Chris and JT sing Tennessee Whiskey at 2014 CMT awards
Chris is best when he is live! Also, check out his duet with Justin Timberlake. Tennessee Whiskey/Drink You Away.
That's joist regular drummer , he is always into it ,same with the bass layer. That's usually all their band is 3 people.
Do some reaction of Kieth Urban he has a lot of good songs. One of my favorites
Derek Mixon (Drummer) doesn't get near enough credit. He and JT Cure (Bass Guitar) are a major part of Chris' performances.
