How much current are the led using? Is the 155j not to big? And what is de power disapation of the 15 ohm resistor?

The 220 uf capacitor is only rated at 50 volts. If a LED went open circuit the voltage across the capacitor would rise to 315 v peak . I suggest a lower capacitance value with a high working voltage..
I just can't get this. Is there still 315 volts going through the LEDs? I thought the 155j film capacitor is responsible for the biggest voltage drop. How can that 220uf capacitor still charge to 315 volts peak?

Good morning Sir, I tried it but when I connected it to my socket, it burnt the 470k resistor and the ceramics capacitor (155J 400V).
What could be the reason for the burning Sir?
Secondly, If someone doesn't get 15 ohms / 1 watt resistor can 15 ohms/½ (half watt) work?
Your resistor burnt because it couldn't tolerate the power (W=IV) do a thing try 2W resistors next time so it can dissipate power easily

What if I want to add more LED's , around 20 or more?
My dear friend i give you simple formula for this type circuit,,,,,,,,,,,,,
If you add more led's in parallel mode you use more 14 led's no problem nothing change,,,,,,,,,,,, but remember if you add more led in series mode voltage of circuit got up your 220 uf capacitor burn,,,,,,,, for example in this circuit i am 14 led as you can see at multi-meter screen output voltage is near about 42 ,,,,,,,,, if you use 20 led light your circuit will be up to 60 voltage,,,,,,, so you use 220 uf 63 volt capacitor ,,,,,,,,,,,, Thank you for interest,,,,,,,,,,

@@ABTabi but one thing is not getting clear to me. 14 bulb consume 3.5 volts each in series....which turns out to be 49 volts and also resistance in series with the bulbs.....then how it comes out to be 42 volts
