This was the best understanding I’ve gotten about my 5.7 diff. I have a 2015 chally 6spd and after some research I did find out I have the 3:90 diff but I want to do the 3:09 swap cuz I’m not racing my car my challenger is my daily driver

I never knew the speedometer works of the front wheels in these. Made me think twice about swapping my dif but now I’m probably gonna do it. Thanks dude😅
NAG 5 speed transmission requires a getrag rear differential (AMG). Mine is 3.55 ratio and diablo tuner
💯 I recommend you get the 3.09 lsd no tune or reprogramming needed.

I paid 400$ for my 3.09! Make sure to add new gear oil when swapping as well
I have a 2020 challenger rt manual and I never knew what gears I have.
You have 3.08 gears.. they come stock on manual rt’s!!

I have a police 2015 charger RT , I took the rear end out & it has a 2.62 I’m trynna replace it with the 3.09 , but my axels won’t fit in the 3.09

Just bought a 3.90 getrag setup complete cradle out of a six speed scat pack today I plan to put in my 2010 charger 5.7 pursuit. I’m seeing I need a programmer to reset the ratio in the ecm for a 2010. Guess I’ll find out.

No you won’t need a different driveshaft although a 1 price never hurt but yeah it’s plug n play. You’ll be good

I would do 3.09 Bc 3.90 is more for racing imo

Allows both wheels to spin at the same time and you get to the power quicker
The 3.90 is better and u can launch from a dig with a big enough tire

I have a 2015 charger pursuit. It has the Nag1 5 speed trans in it with the 5.7 Hemi. I took the 2.62 out of it and I put a 3.09 LSD in it. Bolted straight in but it’s doesn’t seem like the trans is in sync with it. Car doesn’t go over 3rd gear. What can I use to tune the car to the rear end? Diablo can’t access the gear ratios in the 15 pursuits.
Yeah, you’re running an 8spd diff with a 5speed transmission. It’s throwing your car into limp mode, you need a Getrag diff from a older srt with gettag axles and a TCM tune
You say if you go with any of the rear ends you'll get better gas mileage but then you say your engine will run higher at RPM's on the highway, that dont make sense! Better gas mileage around town maybe? You obviously cant get better gas mileage on the highway if your engine is spinning faster.
Technically yes you’re correct. The rpm’s aren’t much of a difference was it will effect gas. This was one of my first YT vids so I was a newbie 🤣 ideally 2.62lsd is the best for gas mileage and top end. The 3.09 far off either. When you get into the 3.70 & 3.90 then you’ll notice. 1st gear is basically non existent in those lsd. When I run 80 in 7th gear my rpm’s are 2-2.5k just crusin.. not bad at all.

3.90 are better bro make sure you look up the part number before buying it because they will put a 3.09 in the box everyone is upgrading to 3.90 it’s like buying a ps5 and when you get home open it up it’s a ps4 😂
