  • The 23pt must be the most underestimated anchor but I'm here to tell you otherwise. Move over golden anchor, it's due time for the 23pt to shine!
    When to make the 23pt:
-Protects against an impending blitz attack
-Creates awkward rolls for your opponent
    -Reduces gammon losses
    -Limits cube action

Very informative Dan. Usually a point I try and avoid making but will look out for these situations when it is right to anchor.

Well done sir. I use your video content for many of my novice students who struggle understanding concepts and have difficulty going from book to over the board.

Thanks for your thorough analysis on this most dreaded point (in my opinion). I mentioned this on Marc's initial video on the 24pts of Christmas series too. I need to start changing my perspective on this pt; that there are times it can be an advantage.

As usual, tons of useful information on a subject that I know very little about - thanks! Dan - timing is tricky though, isn't it? You might think there is a threat and make the anchor too early, then find you can't get out because you are blocked by his 8 point?
